Hopeful but realistic

The key to the season is rebounding and defense at the 4/5….too many unknowns and unproven there. Love the Jones hype and hope he can deliver the goods but not proven.
Baker and Harper should score more….think Baker can be at 13 a game and Ron at 17/18. Mulcahy will take a leap and operate as a point forward. McConnell will do what he does - and if he can learn to make the steal without then giving the ball up in transition that wold be great. In my mind, those are the four that are 100 percent proven. The rest are truly unknowns - potential might be there but let’s see some games first, even against the scrubs of the D-1 world.
But I’m excited. I always am.

Making up for the loss of 30 points from Young,Johnson and Mathis is the key for the season.Lets nor forget with all the team success there was great difficulty scoring 65 points a game against B1G competition.Three point shooting and foul shooting need improvement to increase scoring totals.

I am in the same camp. I want to believe that Soph Cliff and Agee makes up for Myles loss, that better Paul/healthy Caleb/Jones make up for loss of Young, that Mathis is addition by subtraction, that Hyatt gives the team depth and balance, that Geo and RHJ are healthy and ready to lead the team, that the young guys contribute... but Myles and JY are big losses on the court.

I will say that Pike's recent comments about the high quality of this team have gotten me excited for the start of the season - Lets go RU
