This can’t be another courtesy visit as some of you haters like to call it. Right?

Maybe, just maybe, you can start supporting the young man and his dreams. Lord only knows how much more you will hate him if he’s drafted and not donating to your beloved RU.

GOOD LUCK GEO!!!!

Yeah I thought RH would get more attention too. I want them both back to be honest. But definitely happy for Geo getting a few looks

Geo’s name and accolades are high compared to his actual production. If he gets back to his Junior year form and athleticism though he can have a long pro (likely europe) career.

Definitely doesn't hurt to take these visits and workouts, but I can't imagine it turning out to him really getting drafted. He just isn't a top 75 player in this class

Maybe a team can vision Geo playing 5-10 MPG as a back up PG who has size, can create his own shot, has passable athleticism (for NBA), and with small minutes may be a passable defender.

I wonder if our players are going to get credit in professional eyes for playing for PIKE and being in an environment that stresses D.

Geo getting looked at is a positive for his poro asperations and great fopr RU if he comes back to work on the things he's told he needs to improve on in order to have a pro career that doesn't involve starting at the lower level overseas basketball leagues..

Like Geo or not, but we should realize his coming back makes RU stronger.

He’s just getting feedback. The question for Geo is go pro in Europe or go back to RU.

Not much on RH in any discussions. Obviously he as some connections to the league that could allow him to go under radar, but still be seen. That said, we are less than 10 days to decision day and unclear even if he doesn't go pro whether RU is in his plans going forward. I don't think his name is in transfer portal so that is a good sign for Rutgers.

Can it be a rule that only actual NBA fans create NBA-related threads and stop this almost daily embarrassment of uninformed threads?

What does Geo working out with the Cavs have to do with Geo having minimal at best chances of being drafted?

More specifically, do you even know what pick the Cavs have?
And yes, I say "pick" because they only have #3.
They don't have a 2nd round pick.

So again, even if the Cavs are interested in drafting Geo they would need to spend additional assets/cash.

Why does being realistic about draft prospects, based on readily available information, make someone a bad fan?

Just cause a team doesn’t have a draft pick doesn’t mean they shouldn’t look at prospects, teams without a pick look at players all the time. And for a guy like Geo, nobody sees him as a first or second round talent, but players get picked up in UFDAs all the time. Markus Howard, undrafted last year, played rotational minutes in the playoffs for the Nuggets. Just cause a team may not take you second round doesn’t mean it’s worthless to keep your name in the draft. I don’t know if Geo is someone they would sign either but still, there’s clearly a level of interest from NBA teams, teams don’t just work players out to work players out.

So many haters and they all hate different things or players. Not enough love. RU Basketball has been on the rise with Pike and Geo. He was the first chip and then others like RHJ and now Cliff and others adding to the program. Whether they like him or not he is the face of this program right now. I hope he comes back but if he moves on I wish him nothing but success.

Hopefully tryout is long enough for him to sneak a picture in uniform so he can sell it on a t-shirt or mug

Cleveland is interesting because of their roster situation and #3 pick. There was a story the other day on how the Cavs should consider trading Sexton because having two short guards can be a liability on defense, and Garland is better equipped for running the offense. The writer was projecting a big guard being a good target for that #3 pick.

Good luck to Geo, but I hope he returns.

Can't ask anything more of Geo. If he moves on, I wish him every success. Could be a free agent signing, especially given that they don't have a second round pick.

Yes, the tryout is in Florida for Geo and 5 other guys including Zagorowski and Weiskamp.
