If it's one, or maybe two of these guys the coaches are after you figure they must be after a hidden gem. At this point it's just looking like the mid major level is just the best they can do. I really hope they convince a couple of the better recruits still out there to commit.

Well, the fear is we get a bunch of palmquist/Reiber Level guys for this class. If your long-term strategy is "strike gold again", it's not a good strategy.

I don't think you can truly gauge/judge recruiting/stars/talent evaluation since the pandemic. Gotta trust Pike's eye for film at this point. Assume a few of these kids will also blow up now that summer league is back.

Chase Ross is a Dallas TX native, not from the northeast. Ex-Texas coach Shaka Smart at Marquette has offered.

He did not have those other high D-1 schools when we offered. Shockingly, Steve is a better judge of talent than ACE.

The kid has some really good offers. I trust that Pikiell knows what he’s doing. Every coach will miss on some kids but this one looks good. Another tall guard who can shoot. We will need to replace Harper, geo, Agee and McConnell for 2022. So a pair of guards, including a PG and two big forwards or a power forward and a center. We need kids who buy into hard *** defense as well as shooting. That’s our program now and it works. Without defense, we don’t win games.
