Gavin's response to Sam's commitment is as strong a indicator as any that he's gonna commit. kid from KY and kid from philly have no reason to be friends/to support one another unless they're gonna be playing together lol

This. Also FWIW - he did not retweet or comment on kid who committed to Kentucky referenced in the article.

So is Rutgers waiting for the Delaware QB to decide first and asked GW to hold on committing (don’t know why they ever would but the fingers crossed seemed weird to me).

He made the same post when re-tweeting Treyveon Longmire's commitment to Kentucky last week though. The only difference is Longmire is also from Kentucky, but it's not like he was teammates with Wimsatt or anything.

I sure hope so! Fingers crossed!

I thought it was a really shaky sign when weeks went by after his visit without a commitment and then Kentucky got those two 4star offensive player commitments. I thought / still think that must've given him pause and still strongly considering Kentucky.

Do the people making these predictions actually talk to the players? If not, it seems kind of silly to put much stock in their prediction of what a person is going to decide.

They talk to coaches more-so than players, I believe. Probably a mix of both though.

Nice to have a home state paper that is pro it’s states school.
It’s a long time since we could even think we had a true state newspaper favorable to Rutgers. That is partly Rutgers fault over the years.A school with high aspirations but no support from alums and fans where it counts the most in the wallet. Everything was done on the cheap.

Not getting too excited until he says “ Rutgers”. Even then there is too much that can sway a recruit especially in states which totally support the home school. We have too many PSU,BC fans and still not enough diehard RU fans.

I haven't been as involved as i used to be, but if there is one thing i do is log on every few weeks to check recruiting. Wimsatt would be that big get and now i am checking every day or 2 just to see if we get him.

Go Rutgers!!! Still remember that Louisville game in the Students Section!!!

@HeavenUniv. (UPDATE - Heaven, all your posts do not appear when i sign into Rivals. They do appear when i am logged off)
Crazy that until I just bumped it, this thread was 15 rows down after discussions of Tiger Woods and Tejano music.

If Wimsatt comes here this will be the best recruiting class ever. Just huge.
I wanted to reply to this thread - i did above, but when i signed in it did not appear in my threads. When i logged out, it appeared. The only way i was able to reply was by logging in and copying the the URL into the window where i was signed in.

Could this be the reason that this thread had fallen down the list below Tiger and Tejano?

There were also other threads that did not appear on my list when i am signed on .....

How some SEC fans see RU (and NJ). In fairness, the guy from NJ called KY a hick state:

Thanks.. don't even know how to ignore.. maybe pocket clicked... although a couple of years ago I ignored someone who just kept coming in and talking **** in the forums... I recall everyone saying to ignore the kid. And that was definitely not Heavenly U.

Well sorry for derailing, let's get Wimsatt!

On this site, I do not have anyone on my ignore list.
No, he has you on *his* ignore list which is why he can't see your posts or any threads you start. He may have done it accidentally. Anyway, this a common thing...I think a lot of people don't realize how the ignore function works
