Brian Leonard said:
I made a little slogan that I recite to my kids every night. "Knowledge, combined with action, creates opportunities; opportunities combined with execution create health, wealth, and happiness." In my opinion, if you're prepared and execute on the limited opportunities that come your way, you will have less regrets in life and a higher chance of achieving success and happiness.

Great slogan! 😃

Mickey Mantle should have been on my list as well so make it a fab 6. Back in the late 60's Roy White used to rent an apartment in Lake Hiawatha near where I was living. When we would get off the bus many times we would hang out to see if he was headed to the stadium. Some times he would play catch with us, other times he would let us carry his uniform. Anyway one day he says to us "do you all know what Sunday is".. And we said yes its Mickey Mantle day. He asked us if we were going to the game and we said no we don't have any tickets... So next thing is he pulls out four tickets to the game and says I hope you guys have fun as my guests. We sat like 3 rows from the field right by the Dugout. So add Mickey to the list and Roy can get an honorable mention along with Jim Kiick and Richie Zisk who also lived in the area and were great to kids.

Very nice list. I'll go with Leonard, Seaver, Mays, Aaron, Tosh Riddick (JK on the last one 😀)
He was the first player I saw with my own eyes that had me thinking it could actually happen here.

No question Tosh was a dynamic and exciting talent. For whatever reason, he couldn't get his act together for the long term.
