Just let kids get drafted out of high school like Kevin Garnett and Kobe. Just like for those two and many others it was a gamble, but their choice. Problem solved.

This isn’t an issue in baseball and hockey.

This is exactly what is needed. This is an outlet for players that want to be compensated for their basketball skills.

there needs to be a line between being an amateur and a professional.

This isn’t an issue in baseball and hockey.

Draft eligibility will be open to HS graduates again within the next couple of years - sooner than later.

Just realize - this means that a majority of the Top 10 (probably Top 20) HS recruits will be skipping college all together.
NBA teams are much smarter at drafting young players now and HS players are much better overall than previous years

One note - when the top recruits start going to the NBA instead of the Duke/Kentucky/Michigan of the world - those elite schools will have to dip a little lower in the rankings to get players.
Mid-level schools will now have to compete against these elite schools for "mid-level" recruits.
