It will be a mix, but yes there will be upperclass leaders.

Gr. - Geo Baker
Sr. - Harper, Mathis, McConnell, possibly Doucoure (don't underestimate a very well-liked bench player - this kid was a captain this year for a reason)
Jr. - Mulcahy

That's five rotation players, plus one possible deep reserve, who will be upperclass leaders with significant game experience. Behind them, though, will be a lot of inexperience

So. - Cliff, Mag, Palmquist, Reiber, Jones
Fr. - Miller

That's six guys who, except for Cliff, have practically zero experience.

We need to "win" the portal.

What is the definition of winning the portal? One key guy, two guys, etc.?

Hehe, I was just being flip with that phrase, but at a minimum, we're going to need (1) a big to replace Myles and now Doucoure; and (2) a quick ball-handling guard to replace Young and possibly Geo.

That sounds right. Not as concerned about a Douc replacement, but since everybody but God is in the portal, if we find a fit, go for it.

Yes hopefully leaders, but experience matters in all areas. Been in situations before, especially pressure ones. Hard to explain, but plays made & shots taken somehow come easier & with less effort. It just helps across the board.

Talent is equally important as experience at crunch time.
