Are many here underestimating their potential contributions the next 3-4 seasons? These guys weren’t superstars coming in, we all knew that they were going to need a year or two to develop, but they really didn’t get that this season. Thoughts?
Mag looks like he can play.
Reiber looks overmatched.
Let's see where they are at in 2 years. My guess is Mag will be playing significant minutes and Reiber will transfer down to a mid or low major.

From watching just looks like the college game is too fast for Reiber.
He reminds me of a poor man's Nate Reuvers. That's a playable Big Ten bench guy... Remember Reuvers had a really nice junior year.
Reiber instincts were very good. Wait to see him develop as some have said. He wasn't some 5 star elite athlete but he knows how to play for sure. If he can develop an outside shot that would be huge.Reiber has some decent basketball instincts from what I saw, he just needs to get stronger. When the ball came to him I felt like he generally knew what to do and played within the system. I thought Palmquist on the other hand would get the ball and decide it was his turn to shoot even if it wasn't in rhythm.
I think many of you are writing off Reiber too quickly. I believe he’ll become a solid rotation guy next year.
Reiber averaged 5.9 minutes in the games he played. Mag, 5.8, and Palmquist, 4.8. There's no way we can tell how they'll be in the future with so little to base it on. Especially since those minutes weren't in every game we played.Think Reiber may get a decent amount of playing time because of a lack of bigs next year
Yeah I’d give him another year before we judge how he’ll develop. Sometimes it finally clicks and a player we least expect becomes an important contributor as an upperclassman. If you are only looking at offense, Reiber showed us very little. But on defense he did hold his own against Garza with very little game play before that. He can still develop..!
Palmquist just needs to get the gun out and develop his shot. His size is enough to bother most on the defensive end. We need to see the shooter that Pike recruited.I think Reiber has the potential to be a good player for us. The thing that impressed me the most in his limited minutes was his presence on the court. Didn’t seem intimidated at all. He looks like an athletic big who can shoot based on his film.
Mag looks good. Physical defensive minded player.
Palmquist, not so sure about.
But I agree that with such limited minutes played by each, it’s hard to judge or predict their development.
He also has to do more than just hide in the corner like Issa Thiam. And he has to hit more shots than Thiam too.Palmquist just needs to get the gun out and develop his shot. His size is enough to bother most on the defensive end. We need to see the shooter that Pike recruited.
Mag, Reiber and Palmquist each played less than 70 minutes total during the season. Too small a sample size for me to evaluate them.
I expect each of them to be rotation guys next season.
That was where Paul was a lot on offense. He played the 3 this season. Early in the season, I noticed Oskar subbed for Paul and Mag subbed for Ron. So they’ll be at the 3 and 4. He definitely has to work on those corner 3s. Miller does a lot of driving. If he’s the future PG, Oskar has to hit it when he kicks it to him.He also has to do more than just hide in the corner like Issa Thiam. And he has to hit more shots than Thiam too.
