This kid is gonna be a good one and a leader.

My concern is that especially with JY gone, and double especially if Geo is gone, the kid may be asked too much too soon.
Hope you’re right but to compete game after game vs B1G guards . . .If he’s a TRUE point guard I wouldn’t worry. My guess is mentally he’s gonna be hood-to-go. Get him out there during the OOC slate!!!

I think he will be a good drive, draw and dish player also. Looks to have very good court vision.I’ve watched a decent bit of his games, and he’s a really solid player and a leader. Seemed like his head coach had a whole lot of trust in him. Was decent defensively and I’m sure will play very hard for Pike. He has alright size for a guard, will be able to keep up with other guards in the league. Won’t turn the ball over too much as well, which is a plus. He has great finishing ability and potential, this quality is what could make him a great player. Rn he isn’t much of a shot creator unfortunately and doesn’t like too shoot it much. I’m not too worried he can become a good shooter at some point, but iso is probs not gonna be his forte. However, if Jaden turns out to be as good as I think he can be, Jalen will be a really good compliment as he can guard the other teams PG and relieve some of the ball handling duties. In short, a player of high character that can defend guards and has a lot of finishing potential.

A freshman coming in to the B1G probably turn it over just because of the speed and length of players. At least the 1st 1/3 of games. I remember how bad Caleb was as a freshman. He was a turnover machine when he was the point guard. This is HUGE as we commit FAR TOO MANY unforced TO’s as a team (including at the PG position).

Assuming no GeoOh he will, no doubt, BUT if he’s the only option and can get experience against the OOC’s then let him okay IMHO. That being said I would really love to see us get a fifth year transfer at the spot so that the kid can develop without being thrown to the wolves.
Assuming no Geo
His STYLE reminds me of Marcus Carr.
As was Geo but that was a different time. The build was in its early stages and expectations were not as high. I ask this question with no intention of stirring up crap or being a wise ***, but is Jalen more advanced in his game than Geo was coming in as a freshman? My concern is that especially with JY gone, and double especially if Geo is gone, the kid may be asked too much too soon.
I was curious so I did a little checking. Without making a spreadsheet, it seemed pretty clear that most Big Ten rosters are made up of mostly 4 star players. The bottom feeders are mostly 3. The only teams that performed at a high level with majority 3 star players in the last couple years were Wisconsin and Rutgers. Not calling you out. Just thought it was interesting. There's 2 camps that constantly contradicts itself.
A) There's the "he had no other major offers", which is really irrelevant because 65% of the B1G rosters are made up of 3* players.....most 3* players are not piled up with 5 to 10 Power 5/6 offers.
I've heard Miller described as a poor man's Kyle Lowry. Nowhere near the overall skill level of Lowry, but provides the same intangibles. I am eager to see how his game translates to the college level.
He did have a oral roberts offer. Just saying.Hope so. RU was the only major school to offer him.

You guys forgot Towson, Iona, Lehigh, NC Greensboro, Elon, Colgate, Central Arkansas and a few others. He had a Wichita State offer. I’d say that’s more major than any major conference bottom feeder.
