Up 9 with 5 minutes left and the team seemed to go into prevent offense.

Mulcahy should have been in for Caleb. Mulcahy was hustling on defense and Caleb threw up 2 horrible shots.

Myles with a missed dunk and a missed layup.

Where was Jacob Young ??

Mulcahy in, Caleb out and Jacob and Geo should have taken over the offense.

What a shame to be that close to the sweet 16.

Give Houston credit for their offensive rebounding, it was amazing, the rest of their game seemed average.

What a missed opportunity.

Lets be honest. We totally blew this game. We played with confidence and purpose for 35 min. Then we became a totally different team and begged Houston to win it - and they managed to barely pull it out. One less stupid turnover, one less blown point blank shot and were moving on.

I agree, Matthis had a great 1st half and probably would have added more to the offense in the second half.

Sometimes miracles happen in March. Houston got this one. Their dirty team and sleezeball coach didn’t deserve it, but they got it. Imagine how UNC fans felt after Nova hit the buzzer beater to win the national championship.

Good/bad news is get ready for this pain to be a yearly occurrence as we make the dance again and again

That’s a good point. Every year 63 teams feel some degree of disappointment to sickness in how they lose

For everybody that says Mulcahy is Pikes guy, Mulcahy was taken out when the team was on a roll. Would it have made any difference in the end ?? Who knows.

Their best was writhing in pain and Pike couldn't figure out how to exploit it
That was a bad play, when he was hobbling on the court, and McConnell decides to heave up a long 3 as apposed to take it right to the hole on him. Just an inexperienced move there.

Rutgers must overachieve in games like this.

If Rutgers wants to up its recruiting it must win games it is supposed to lose.

Houston was a number 2 seed and Rutgers had them beat with 5 minutes left.

The PR for this team would have been insane going to the sweet 16.

Massive missed opportunity.

Can someone tell me why Young was not running the show the last 5 minutes? Was he injured? He was the go to player in so many games down the stretch.
