We sucked tonight. Cliff looked lost out there. Terrible defense and kept fouling all the time. Better clean that up or it is 1 and done in NCAA even if the opponent is school for the blind

Huge gap between Rutgers and top 4 teams in the BIG. We need two top players to compete and we don't have them.

We sucked, but so did the refs. We should ha e been tougher tonight but They allowed one team to push off on every defensive rebound and get to the line on every drive . The other team not so much. And also they should be embarrassed about the flagrant 2 call, shouldn’t have even been a flagrant 1. Should have been a foul on their big kid

This was a B1G special - one team plays by a different set of rules. But Illinois was just on point tonight, didn't really need it.

We had a friendly whistle when we played them the 1st time and it helped us get probably one of the 3 most impressive RU wins of this century. Just life in the B1G.

As soon as we pulled within 13, I literally counted down 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and then they called foul on Jacob Young where at most he lightly touched a wrist after the ball was a third of the way to the basket. I agree. I don't think we win this game, but it could have been a fun one to watch. The technical called on Mulcahy for a minor statement while Cockburn was literally taunting Myles on the way out. The flagrant 2 called on McConnel when he got pushed into the Illinois player...those are just pure momentum killers.

those were so blatant. Pike needs to get teed up in the first 10 minutes. This will not stop until pike speaks up. I love the guy but this is ridiculous and he is the only one who can change it.

Pike does need to get teed up once I awhile or at least visibly get on the refs. I coach high school ball and when I feel our guys r getting biased and bad calls against us you have to visibly get on the refs . If that results in a t, so be it but it also fires the team up and can change the whistle as well

If there's one thing I could change with Pike, it would be standing up for your players. Every coach does it. I don't know what's gained by staying silent.

The reffing in this game can best be summed up by this:

One of the Illinois players pushed McConnel from behind; his arms went up to try and catch himself, accidentally grabbed another guy's nuts and then he got ejected from the game.
