I am not sure avoiding playing Reiber the entire season just to throw him into this game so Cockburn can rip his head off and eat it is the best move.
So let’s just let Duke get his lunch money taken play after play after play. At least if Reiber is fouled there is a chance of scoring some points

Cofi getting the Garza treatment tonight. Climbing Caleb’s back, literally pushing Duke out of the play. Of course a 7’ 285lb dude is unstoppable when he’s allowed to play physical like that lol. Not saying it changes anything but game is a lot different if he’s on the bench as long as Cliff and MJ are

Illinois is not this good, I'm sorry...95% of this is self inflicted BS, turnovers and sloppy play. If Illinois was a true 1 seed, they would have scored 55 to 60.....this should be a 28 to 30 point game and it's 19.....make a friggin layup and it's probably a 12-13 point game.

Pike's worst coaching of the year IMO. Team wasn't ready and he left Myles out way too long with 2 fouls, as the score went from 17-13 to 33-18 while he was out over 5 minutes. And wtf was he thinking not having Myles on the floor the last 2 minutes? No energy at all tonight and so many defensive lapses and being outrebounded 22-8 and we have not made a trey yet. Yeah the foul differential is ridiculous, but that's only worth a few points. This one's over, barring a complete meltdown by Illinois.

On the bright side, how friggin bad is Indiana? We let them score 50 in 40 minutes last night. Illinois just put up 47 on us in 20 minutes.
Indiana stinks and Illinois has the talent to win a national championship.Lets not forget Rutgers only scored 61 points some of which were foul shots in the last minutes of the game.

Kofi is playing like a big. He is not pushing with hands. Our entire team plays plays D with their hands instead of their feet. They are beating us to the stop and just more physical.

? So he can pick up his 3rd foul. Come on man.

I am so pissed at the uneven calls in this game by the refs. Calling BS calls on our players EVEN before they happen. Yet the ILL team gets nothing called against them. Even the charge against CM was complete BS. Kofi over the back everytime as I have specifically been watching him.
I will give credit to them though for hitting every shot and taking high percentage shots.
We aren’t playing bad but just bad at times missing chppies and turnovers..can’t play like that if you expect to win

had to DVR the 1st half and just caught up. Glad to see I'm not the only one who is incensed at the officiating. Never even gave us a f***ing chance. Meanwhile Cockburn can do whateve the F*** he wants wiht no worries.

Pike needs to get in the refs ear about Kofi. Sorry he committed a couple fouls that weren’t called. He should have been on the bench too.
Doesn't matter now. When officials decide to call it this way you're out of it from the start. It's no coincidence that in our two wins over them in the last two years, Cockburn wasn't allowed to get away with this b.s. Illinois just makes every shot. We just aren't good enough shooters to stay with teams like this unless our defense is dialed up. And when Myles picks up a foul in the first 18 seconds of the game, then you can turn your sets off right there because Omoruyi is just a horrible post defender. Can't guard anyone and is all hands and doesn't rebound. Seriously, even bigger than our lack of shooters is the lack of a capable backup big. The whole team deflates when Myles picks up early fouls.

47 points in one half. Brutal.

The bitching about the officials is hilarious, it’s really not that bad, maybe a touch towards them but that’s it. Earlier in the season we had some horrendous officiating but not tonight.
Yeah I agree. Said it earlier....we are fouling a lot. Illinois is fast & better and they’re using that to their advantage to get us into trouble. Where there is a valid compliant with the officials, it’s what Cockburn gets away with that our bigs NEVER do.

Baloney... on his last highlight-reel dunk he used Doucore to jump for the board. He has been over the back several times.. and has pushed players away before the rebound several times.

5% on BS calls. I know there is new math but this doesn’t add up. When your best players are on the bench totally changes the game. Now add on top of that Illy is just damn good.

At this point it seems like our fanbase just wants Geo to leave or transfer.

And you all get on me for being iffy on Pikiell.

At least I take it out on the coaches and not the players.
I won't get on you for calling out coach. This is hardly the gritty, tough, defensive, rebounding team he had years ago. He never made Geo or Ron really play any D.

Just watched 4 replays at the half and Harper loafed back on 3 and stuck his hand out on a lane drive past him on the 4th.

A touch? Think you missed all the “touching” Kofi is getting away with

We’re getting dominated, no way around that. But you almost never seen Garza, Cockburn, TJD, etc. pick up 2 fouls in the first half — and you can’t convince me that’s not some agenda coming down from the B1G

I get sitting him for a couple, but once they started killing us right after that, I would've brought him back in, as there's no game if we go down 15-20. I'd rather lose with our best players on the floor as much as possible.

You can still commit a foul with other parts of your body other than your hands. But, Kofi used pretty much his whole body to foul McConnell.

What? Go watch it again. He uses his forearm to shed Douc. No leverage whatsoever.

Not complaining about the fouls called on us, we have fouled a lot today. But ZERO fouls on Kofi is BS

We aren't playing that bad, we just got a bad whistle and it snowballed in the first half. We aren't shooting abysmally, but with no myles we can't get boards.

I think this team has figured some things out and could still do damage if the draw doesn't kill us

but this is all the kind of stuff that we have seen from RU the past few weeks. Illinois is not Minnesota, they will take advantage of RU mistakes....RU had the doors blown off from the beginning and it had nothing to do with fouling. You can have Young with 4 turnovers alone in the first 15 minutes

It's pretty bad when there are fans that it's obvious are rooting for Geo to fail. Not sure what sin he has committed. Pretty sad.
Lol...nobody is rooting for him to fail. Poor boy. What I see is folks asking for him to give some freakin effort to live up to the hype and do something!

We must be watching completely different games.

Yes, Illinois is a better team, and winning would be very tough -

but, you two must be kidding........ right?
