not at all..omg...do you realize ILLINOIS is BY FAR OUR BIGGEST WIN....we want ILLINOIS to be a one seed, that is not happening if they lose to Michigan State. MSU is irrelevant in terms of our resume, yes they can move up to Q2 for our home win and Q1 on the road but its not worth it to ding or best win

furthermore a win by Sparty puts them legit on the bubble, they are dancing if they win at maryland and beat Indiana at home

This game probably takes them out of consideration for a 1 seed unless they win the B1G tournament. It more likely puts them closer to the 3 line, at least for now.

Agreed on at least for now. MSU now vaults into top 75. This will be a Q1 road loss for Illinois. They will not drop that far. Assuming they get back on track they'll be fighting for a two or one seed easily especially if they make a run in b1g tourney.

They have osu and mich, so if they lose those 2 it s likely they drop into 3 seed

And if they win those 2 they would be a serious threat for a 1 seed. I think they will split just think they're better right now than OSU.

And look at that Illinois remains at #4 in the NET even with this loss. MSU up to 75. This is exactly why we wanted Sparty. Our win over #4 Net remains and our profile improved.

Sure this can change back easily with Sparty losing again but this loss didn't even ding the NET for Illinois.
