With all due respect to you Bac and your Bacatology research.
This is why I pay no attention to it, our business is winning games, not trying to figure out how few we can win and still get in.
This bid is in our hands regardless who wins this game....all we need to do is win, and it ain’t one.

Just shows you that even the elite teams have a WTF game every now and then. Outplayed in all phases of the game. Hard to believe we beat this same Sparty team by 30 not too long ago.

This. Way bigger help to our resume if Sparty wins. Pretty easy to see.

not at all..omg...do you realize ILLINOIS is BY FAR OUR BIGGEST WIN....we want ILLINOIS to be a one seed, that is not happening if they lose to Michigan State. MSU is irrelevant in terms of our resume, yes they can move up to Q2 for our home win and Q1 on the road but its not worth it to ding or best win

furthermore a win by Sparty puts them legit on the bubble, they are dancing if they win at maryland and beat Indiana at home

This x1000. Illinois is our signature win this season. Only way I want them losing a game from here on out is if we somehow end up meeting them in the B1G tournament.

Blatant missed call by the ref there to keep possession for MSU. Wow.

Question might be if MSU runs out of big men with enough time for Illinois to catch up. Two with four fouls, two with three trying to guard Kofi.

We aren’t a bubble team if we take care of our business.
So why are you discussing the bubble?
In case we lose?

Kofi missed FT are huge. He is 3 for 11, while 68% on the season. Gave away four points.

There goes another big man.
And then Kithier hurts himself setting the worst screen I’ve ever seen and fouls out.

Sparty is just begging Illinois to come take this game.

Even with the loss, Illinois might drop 3 places, 4 to 7?, if Houston only dropped from 5 to 8 losing to Wichita St jumped from 77 to 68, they are only 73 in Ken Pom. MSU is NET 81 and 65 in Ken Pom and will jump more with very efficient offensive and defense tonight.

This will move Rutgers from Q1 4-8 Q2 3-1 Q3 3-0 to Q1 4-9 Q2 4-0 Q3 2-0 with 1 Q1, 1 Q2, 1 Q3 left(all very winnable games), no losses outside of Q1.

If Illinois loses they only have themselves to blame. Brutal foul shooting.
