we want Illinois to win this one....want Illinois to perhaps get a one seed in the NCAA tourney and in case RU does struggle down the stretch, we dont need to have Michigan State hanging around the bubble.

Will turn are only Q2 loss to a Q1 loss. This helps if it continues

My thoughts exactly. This is no fluke. MSU is winning with defense and hustle. Now up 47-31.
Just shows you that even the elite teams have a WTF game every now and then. Outplayed in all phases of the game. Hard to believe we beat this same Sparty team by 30 not too long ago.

furthermore a win by Sparty puts them legit on the bubble, they are dancing if they win at maryland and beat Indiana at home

Even with the loss, Illinois might drop 3 places, 4 to 7?, if Houston only dropped from 5 to 8 losing to Wichita St jumped from 77 to 68, they are only 73 in Ken Pom. MSU is NET 81 and 65 in Ken Pom and will jump more with very efficient offensive and defense tonight.
