Pike should institute a rule that in half court sets, Myles MUST touch the ball in the post at least once before we put up a shot.

We should be looking to pound the ball into Myles on every possession. If they double him, he will find an open man who can either shoot or drive.

If they don't double him, he should be looking to score every single time.

Agree with you for the most part. Some other things.
Max effort on defense for 40 minutes.
Rebound like crazy.
Indiana is good at drawing fouls so need to guard against that.
Need Geo or RHJ to make shots.

Valid game plan. Personally, mine is to keep only a safe amount of alcoholic beverages within arm’s reach of me. Avoid falling into the trap of increasing alcohol intake as team performance decreases.

It’s a stretch, but I’ll see how I do.

I believe IU will pack the paint and give us outside shots. Players have to be ready to shoot them, need to make a few to take them out of this D. Need to make sharp crisp passes to offset this D Also play D with energy and effort Boxout and out-rebound them

last game Indiana hit a lot of 3s vs RU, it was like 10-16 or something sick like that and we still won

Well the great Indiana coach Norman Dale suggested 3 or 4 passes before we shoot. It worked for them. Just hope RHJ calls upon his inner Jimmy Chitwood not his inner Ollie.

How about at least 3 reversals before we shoot the ball. Or 5 passes and a post touch

I think this team would be better served with the opposite. If you receive the fourth pass of the possession you have to shoot no matter what.

Game plan......feed Myles early and often. If he is off or in foul trouble let Young and Baker take over. Oh yeah hit the boards hard

IMO
We can’t and won’t win without a double, double from RHJ

Want to see lots of entry passes to the post and more driving and looking to dish to Myles for easy dunks - they're often there and most importantly I want to see us play like our hair is on fire - we're quite good when we bring 110% defensive intensity. And Myles can't get in foul trouble against Trace Jackson-Davis, who I think would eat up Cliff. Would also love to see JY start and play 35 minutes - is he ok? Any word on his leg after limping off the other night?

Agree that TJD would give Cliff fits.

My favorite play of the night was Geo giving up a wide-open three with about one minute left in the first half to pass to RHJ for a wide-open three, and RHJ drained it.
Mine was Mulcahy's three that started things off.. in stride.. fast release.. perfect. Last game he had an opportunity for that in a corner and he passed it up leading to a turnover... it was so good tosee that ball just go up and IN. But it would have been a good choice of shot even if he missed it. He's over 33% from three and should not be shy about taking them. Right now only Young has a higher percentage and only Mag and Baker are 33%. Harper is almost at 33% and had a higher percentage last year.. so he should keep taking them too. Mathis is over 30%.. but maybe he should drive and dish instead of taking the three... get the assists. 33% from 3 is like 50% from 2.
