Rutgers should not be in the top 25. They lost to Iowa. The game was not close.
NW is in a slump.
They will have to beat a ranked team to get back into top 25.

Arkansas will move into the rankings. Someone has to drop out. In my opinion it should be Loyola, not us.

Loyola won at Drake by 30 and then lost a close one the next day, they will not drop out

just about everyone behind RU lost this week as well. Arkansas had a great week winning at Kentucky and at Missouri. Its going to be close, RU might just hang on at 25. Purdue lost at Minnesota as their only game and the 8 losses might scare some off

Belmont might get some support to break into the ratings

I don't understand why some are so obsessed with being ranked. If we are not I believe we will be just outside. That might give us the incentive to play even better and we might not feel as much pressure as we might if we are ranked. I prefer we are ranked at the end of the season.

they dont get punished but when other schools have great weeks like Arkansas they get passed. SDSt is a strange case, they are living off of last year somewhat. I think though the 12-7 mark for RU is sort of weak for a top 25 while other schools have better records. I know the schedule is way tougher but voters like pretty..what did Carino rank us...when our hometown guy only had us at 25 last week well thats an issue right there

My guess is AP voters now focused on the NCAA invites and feel a regional bias to limit the BIG TEN more now.

It is now more Real to them how so many ranked Big Ten teams will "steal" spots from teams and conferences that they cover.

It is equity time.

he ranked us 25 again this week. I didn’t realize the great week Arkansas had

It's not about being in the top 25. It's about the same posters taking digs at Rutgers every chance possible. Example: Iowa sweeps Rutgers, and they come on here and say Rutgers suck. Rutgers beats Michigan State by 30, but those same posters bring up MSU beating Rutgers at their place. Therefore, Rutgers sucks. They need to be called out, so everyone remembers.

His argument is so dumb. If they lose to Michigan and beat MD and there are a bunch of losses in top 25, we will get back in. In other words, we most certainly do not need to beat a top 25 team to get back in

Good post on OTB on this. The football fans who are now bball fans (including me) need a bit of an education. A loss in basketball or a skid isn’t the end of the world like in football...it’s just how the season goes.

Applying the RU fan thinking would have Bill Self or Izzo on the hot seat this season.

I know (kinda) but we did lose on the road, to what is now believed to be the #11 team without our two centers all game. It's fine. Just like seeing us on the scroll.

Very early in the season I stated that RU was a borderline top 25 team, then after looking like a top 10 team for a while and an Eddie Jordan team for a little while, I think they've settled back in that borderline top 25 spot. Will defend and rebound, can't shoot or penetrate well enough to outgun top teams but several okay scorers who can give you enough to get the job done most nights.
