I believe we go 3-2 in our final 5 games to finish 15-9 (11-9).

1) I believe we’re surely in the big dance with that record. What would be our seed? I think 8. Could see a 7 before a 9 with that record.

2) If we can get a B1G tourney win to finish 16-10, would we go from an 8 to a 7? Can’t see us as high as 6 either way.

We are ranked #25 right now, 6 seeds are in theory teams ranked 21-24 and yet you “can’t see us as a 6” ... ok
Go 3-2 we are a 6.
4-1 we are a 5 (top 20)
Watch a game outside the Big Ten one night. You are seriously underrating us and this conference/schedule. We are better than most over .500 teams OOC I’ve watched and can beat anyone

6 seed or 7 seed is where we need to strive for. Those would be the easiest seeds to make a legitimate run for at least the Sweet 16 or even Elite 8.

This is what I'm realistically hoping for as well. But I disagree with the seeding at number 8. If we end up 11-9 in B1G play with a 15-9 record before the B1G tournament, regardless of what happens there I think we're a 6 or 7 seed. We DON'T want an 8 or 9 seed for obvious reasons.

“Can beat anyone” has to be a stretch but you’re right I don’t watch much other than RU and when I do it’s other B1G. I don’t see us winning much other than a 1st Rd game and would be shocked if we made the sweet 16.

Agreed, I watched USC last night and think we could beat them by 15. They were extremely sloppy and played loose. Only reason they won vs WSU is because WSU was around 3/25 from 3. They are a “4” seed because Mobley brothers tower over most teams

The broadcasters in our league even said there's no way NW loses 10 in a row if they played in any other conference. B1G is the King of College Hoops.

Northwestern is terrible. Not many conferences in which a team that bad could beat one of its top two teams.

Think Dunk City. We are better than Dunk City by a mile. It happens.

We can beat a lot of the teams. Just don’t want to win an 8-9 game and have to play Gonzaga or Baylor in game two. I’d like our chances against Nova, Houston, Missouri, etc. Two dark horses I believe are FSU and I watched Loyola for the first time yesterday. They look good.

Ohio St Q1 8-3
Gonzaga Q1 7-0
Baylor 6-0, Alabama 6-3, Illinois 6-4
Missouri 5-4, Oklahoma 5-5, WVU 5-6
9 tied with 4Q1 wins, including Rutgers, 9-10 Md.
12 tied with 3 Q1 wins, includes 7-9 PSU

That is 17 teams with 4 Q1s
29 with at least 3 Q1s
#4 Illinois, #38 @ Md and #51 @Indiana are solid Q1 wins
only ? #26 vs Purdue staying in top 30.
5 of our losses are 2 to #7 OSU, 2 to #8 Iowa, and 1 to #16 Wisconsin.
We are a pretty solid 7-5 seed if we go 3-2 or 4-1 last 5.
