Basketball GAME THREAD: Rutgers Hoops vs. Iowa

[Plum Street]

Baker missed three was big .

[FrankZ_RU93]

Don’t get too close, or they’ll call the 4th post-haste

[RU MAN]

Hey Ron, why does it take you 3/4's of the game to get in gear? Where was this from the outset?

[tfio]

Awesome that Iowa gets to be as physical as they want

[RUJMM78]

Rutgers on a spurt .They trail 58-51.

[ScarletWalk11]

Iowa getting very lucky right now but they are so soft. Not over yet

[bethlehemfan]

Myles got mugged on that rebound lol.

[rtabachk]

Lots of comments about how good rutgers effort is but clearly if you lack talent effort isn't going to be enough in MBB. Need to continue to build on the recruiting trail. Need some shooters like Weiskamp.

[richthedentist]

its 6 points, how does Myles lose that rebound

Because he got fouled on two rebounds twice in a row these refs just blow

[RW90]

Amazing we're still in this. Now get'er done.

[richthedentist]

Lets not forget we are playing 5 against 8 again

[Caliknight]

well Geo misses wide open 3 that would cut it to 5 and then we get outhustled and they get dunk....

I wouldn't call that outhustled. Two guys hit the deck. It just left the backside wide open.

[RUfromSoCal?]

My god Myles gets fouled on the rebound call something

was so obvious... sad.

[RU848789]

its 6 points, how does Myles lose that rebound

soft play by Myles there - he's so spooked about fouls, he's not playing with intensity...

[Jtung230]

IDGAF...let’s go. We can do this.

[RU MAN]

Iowa getting very lucky right now but they are so soft. Not over yet

They are soft. If this game was called fairly from the beginning, we would be ahead or at least tied, even with the bad shooting by us.

[koleszar]

Sorry Bac but Weiskamp climbed all over Myles back to dislodge the ball and no call leading to that dunk. No way is doofus getting to that ball with Myles height and wing span over him unless he climbed his back.

[FrankZ_RU93]

2/1 from Myles while this joker can distribute countless elbows to the face and coast to 17/8. Nauseating stuff

[Anon1751594821]

I think we only have 50. Harper's shot was a 2.

[RUTRINI_rivals]

Chaos Time...We have to make it ugly starting now.

[jerzeyguy]

Refs really won't call any F'n fouls on Iowa it's crazy

[IL Lusciato]

We are better than these goons.

[RU Mike73]

Lets not forget we are playing 5 against 8 again

Again with this whining.

[bac2therac]

we are going to have to cause turnovers at this point without fouling...Iowa up 4 boards and up with 4 less turnovers. those are the difference makers , have to even these numbers out

RU playing better but we have to do more than play even with them, we have to hit our open shots and take advantage of every opportunity..its just a 3 possession game

[Proud NJ Sports Fan]

Myles got mugged on that rebound lol.

Muggings were decriminalized in Iowa City, when against visitors

[RW90]

soft play by Myles there - he's so spooked about fouls, he's not playing with intensity...

And no one would blame him

[Zak57]

These 3's they hit are daggers.

[IL Lusciato]

Beat these bums.

[Caliknight]

PIke please get us a Weiskamp.

[BOCA93]

Remarkably still just a 8 pt game

[RU MAN]

Come on Ron. You let Wieskamp burn you there.

[Plum Street]

Weiskamp owning Harper

[Proud NJ Sports Fan]

It's a joke that Wieskamp can't consistitenky hit that against every team but RU

[greenknight]

its 6 points, how does Myles lose that rebound

Weak hznds

[Rokodesh]

I can't ******* stand Wieskamp

[richthedentist]

Jesus efffin christ will you call the illegal pick on GARza for once

[tfio]

And just like that we have more fouls this half once again...

[Proud NJ Sports Fan]

Not enough time folks

[RU Mike73]

3 point defense absmyal

[rubjk]

People act like we are awful. We’ve won at least 7 b10 games the last 3 years in the toughest conference in basketball. You don’t do that without talent and ability.
