Basketball GAME THREAD: Rutgers Hoops vs. Iowa

[Rutgers25]

only a matter of time before Iowa knocks some shots down. Not our night

[PSAL_Hoops]

How many 3s have they hit? Insane

[bethlehemfan]

1-15 from 3. Impossible to win shooting like that.

[biazza38]

Caleb has to take that second three as soon as he got he the outlet pass

[RUBlackout]

PM needs to learn to shoot when he is open and how the heck is he not a good FT shooter?!?!?

[richthedentist]

Everyone is afraid to shoot and they can't any way its about time Pikell recruits someone who can shoot

[bac2therac]

as successful as the season is and the job Pike has done, he has been inefficient in recruiting shooters, when you dont have any and we really dont, its pretty glaring when you see a team that does.

[FrankZ_RU93]

trading 2 for 3. hmm let me do the math here.....

.....

yup. we'll lose everytime

An improvement from trading 0 for 3 at least

[koleszar]

We're shooting 6.7% from 3. I say we take more 3's

.

[RU MAN]

PM needs to learn to shoot when he is open and how the heck is he not a good FT shooter?!?!?

His poor FT shooting is mind bending.

[greenknight]

Our defense is piss poor we are more than just a step slow it just sucks

[richthedentist]

PM needs to learn to shoot when he is open and how the heck is he not a good FT shooter?!?!?

Because he can't shoot

[RU848789]

Stat of the game: we're 1-15 from deep and they're 7-14. Game really isn't that complicated.

[RUsojo]

as successful as the season is and the job Pike has done, he has been inefficient in recruiting shooters, when you dont have any and we really dont, its pretty glaring when you see a team that does.

yeah

and he doesn’t care about offense enough and it’s shown glaringly

[tfio]

And the lazy passing continues

[RU MAN]

Convinced this team can’t handle success. Win a few games by playing well and follow it up with shite the bed. Weak mentally.

That's why I wasn't so keen on being ranked again.

[PSAL_Hoops]

RHJ killing us.

[FrankZ_RU93]

Everyone is afraid to shoot and they can't any way its about time Pikell recruits someone who can shoot

Yes, find someone who can shoot, please

[rufeelinit]

Had to expect Iowa was going to heat up. Keegan Murray is going to be very good for them. Caleb hustles but his shooting tonight is beyond bad. I would consistently play zone against us.

[richthedentist]

His poor FT shooting is mind bending.

Now PM with the lazy elfin pass

[RW90]

We're shooting 6.7% from 3

.

I could probably shoot that. Maybe not in a game of course.

[ScarletDave]

3s ... we are missing wide open ones, Iowa doesn’t miss wide open ones and many guarded ones .. difference in the game

[gmay8]

So we’re going to lose this game. Time to find out if we have any balls and keep it close or if we roll over.

[Rokodesh]

This team is pathetic

[FrankZ_RU93]

10-9 fouls, lol. Shocking how this all evens out. Keep your fouls now, you clowns.

[RU MAN]

Wow Caleb you suck tonight.

[RU Mike73]

Layups please

[RUJMM78]

McConnell can't make a shot.

[bac2therac]

gee if we could make shots it would be a game

[richthedentist]

These refs ****** suck McConnell gets fouled Garza moving pick and then the ball out of bounds on Garza f this can't beat this team 5 against 8

[tm_nj]

The ref just patted Garza on the back.

[Plum Street]

Y’all still loving this new starting lineup that’s getting smoked?

True ! You’re back !

[RW90]

Wow Caleb you suck tonight.

He and the announcers thought he was fouled.

[Pancho1939_rivals]

Hard to criticize Caleb since he has been all over the place getting rebounds and what not but it would be great if he could make a shot at some point

[Caliknight]

Iowa is excellent with spacing and finding open shooters

Oh, and they drain their shots

They have a very high IQ. They all understand spacing very well, movement, and know how and when to feed the post.

It's how they are able to consistently get uncontested open looks. Say what you want about their D, which they obviously don't even need tonight, but they are a well coached, smart, talented offensive team.

[RU MAN]

Y’all still loving this new starting lineup that’s getting smoked?

Hey negative Nancy, I love your sporadic and erratic messages. You add NOTHING to the thread.

[RUsojo]

Wow Caleb you suck tonight.

he’s been the worst offensive player on the team all year other than last game

[G- RUnit]

gee if we could make shots it would be a game

McConnell grabbed on wrist. No call. Announcers see it. Officiating!

[ballgame4u]

my god the way that ref was just looking at garza i thought he has going to drop to his knees and blow him right there

[Proud NJ Sports Fan]

RU is trying to score 12 points in one possession

Settle down, stop forcing bad shots,
