Good game so far MD up 21-17 9:00 left in the first half all of OSU's buckets from 3 point and a long 2 pointer
And the TV guy just stole my line!!! LOLMD hasn't been able to throw it in the ocean since that point. Buckeyes putting them down with about 11 mins left in game.
When Ohio State went on a 9-1 in the first half and Maryland didn't call timeout I was like...
Ohio State isn't ranked No. 4 for nothing.Ohio State is clearly one of the best teams in the B1G and the NCAA right now while Maryland continues a downward spiral.
Yep. Every starter has to be guarded on that squad. Have toOhio State isn't ranked No. 4 for nothing.
Maryland has a very workable schedule. If they get 4 wins out of that they will dance even at 8-11 or 8-12 in league
I'm not sure Maryland at 14-13 (8-12) would be ensured of a bid. They have three very good road wins and I know it is an off year because of limited OOC games, but only being one game above .500 is not a good look. If there is a B1G tournament and they lose their opening game to finish 14-14 (8-13 against B1G teams), that's even harder to justify. Getting to 15-12 (9-11) would give the committee a lot more wiggle room to justify the bid.Maryland has a very workable schedule. They're extremely deep - go 10 or 11 players every game. They really don't have a superstar but just a bunch of very good players.Ohio State has talent and a terrific coach and the right pieces filling out the roster.
And of course we were up by 16 points in the first game till the refs took over and the rest is history so to sayOhio State huge surprise. Remember they looked shaky beaten by Northwestern blowing late lead
I'm still pissed about that collapse and some of those weak-*** calls on Myles, but when it comes down to it we were outscored by 28 points in the final 8 minutes of play and that is epic, and partly on us.And of course we were up by 16 points in the first game till the refs took over and the rest is history so to say
When you starting comparing the resumes of schools they are competing against you will change your mind
Lidell is a star player who is the type of power forward that Rutgers really needs who scores inside and from the 3 point line along with being a good foul shooter. They're extremely deep - go 10 or 11 players every game. They really don't have a superstar but just a bunch of very good players.
The issue is that there just weren’t enough non-conference games played and so depending how the computer numbers shake out some of these 5 loss MWC and A-10 teams might end up seeming more appealing. There are 2 A-10 teams in the top 40, another at 42 and a 4th right behind at 52. Then there are a few more in striking distance of 75 (in the 80s). You’ll point out correctly that NW sits there now, but if chalk holds, NW will keep falling as they continue to lose and these A-10 teams could sneak into the top 75 (by beating the lower half of their conference on the road). It’s going to be interesting to see what the committee does. Such a weird year.

no they really are not appealing, just look at them now, the only schools in contention for bids are VCU, St Bonnies and St Louis...and Davidson but only as an autobid winner
