Is there a reason the announcers are pronouncing Kofi‘s last name as “ Coburn” during the game? .Everyone knows it’s Kofi “ Cockburn.” We had a football nose tackle playing the “ cocknose” according to Matt Millen.

Yeh noticed it too. Honestly he should change the pronunciation, Coke-burn would work and not seem so forced.

When Illinois plays like this, they are a tough out for any team.

Curbelo is hurting them though, too many mistakes.

Lets see if they can keep it up.

Curbelo has been terrible on both ends of the court. Underwood has to pull him. Wisconsin on a run cutting it to 9.

Wisconsin can be a win if we play strong D by challenging shots. I just love how they have 6-7 kids as 4/ 5 th year seniors . 23-24 year old men.They do this in football like forever.

There's a Canadian singer/guitarist named Bruce Cockburn and he pronounces it "Coburn" as well.

they've pronounced it like that since he came to Illinois, so I assume that's how it's pronounced...

Our Illinois win is looking better and better . I know it was the second game and at home but it pops out on the resume. If only we didn’t get screwed in that first Ohio state game we’d have 2 wins over possible one seeds .

Kofi is from Jamaica and we were told that that is the pronunciation there.

The great Dick Butkus never had any issues with people making fun of his name. Lol
