Back to missing a sh#t ton of free throws, RHJ still struggling (although he came up big in the end), ugly turnovers, resorting back to one on one ball, coaching staff doesn't get Myles out after three fouls, Geo disappearing act, Montez still making dumb dumb plays, etc etc. Glad it was Northwestern and glad they missed a ton of shots in the 2nd half. Any competent B1G team woulda stuck it to us.

Also STOP throwing lobs to Cliff. And Cliff is a disaster on D. Geez. He is lost.

The one adjustment I liked was putting JY on that #1 dude, who looked like Kobe Bryant in the first half. We also did a nice job on Buie. But man, this was not an enjoyable win.

That said, it's a B1G road win. Still a good thing, but man. OK I'll stop now, this is not my style, to complain after a win. It's douchy I know, but I needed to vent, ha.

Free throws weren’t that bad except Cliff

Did you miss a two minute stretch in the second half where we missed (IIRC) the front end of five one-and-one opportunities. Potential 10 points where we got zero.

It might have been four front end misses in that stretch...potential for 8 points and got zero.
Kept them within reach.

Yep, it was so bad I shut it off for a few minutes . Your guards at least have to hit them. I can’t believe how bad Tez still is on foul shooting . Unacceptable

I think your count is off. Mathis and Young missed back to back front ends. Cliff botched a few.

Dominant performance going up 20 points on the road in the Big Ten conference. They made a run to get it to 5, then we push it back to 15. We win it by 8. This after beating another B1G team by 30 just a couple days ago. Man our fans are getting greedy reaaaaal fast

I believe at one point in the 2nd half we missed 7 of 8 foul shots. No bueno. Look I get it, you are all correct, a win is a win, and I don't think I have ever bitched after a win in 20-something years as a fan. I guess I just got my expectations out of whack because I really liked how we looked at Indiana, and of course I loved how we looked against MSU. I didn't think we looked that good tonight. I felt like we resembled a lot of what I saw in the 5-game slump. That said, yeah I might be being a big greedy, and a bit of a debbie downer. My apologies. Again not my typical style as a poster so my bad.

The maximum number of one and ones you can get in a half is three.

Last year we had to wait until one of our last games to win on the road. Might have been ugly today but it totally felt like a win

Actually last year we won our first road game in league in early January at Nebraska. The ironic part of that win was Nebraska played us much tougher later on at the RAC. And then didn't get our second until the last game

Was it a wire to wire win? I think it was, not 100% sure. Have we ever done that in two straight games? In two straight Big 10 games?

Yes. Northwestern never led. I think the closest they got was five.

It wasn't pretty, but it didn't feel like a loss at all. Because it wasn't, lol. The ugliest win is better than the prettiest loss for me.

Anyone who thinks expectations aren’t really high around here needs to consider that we just won our third straight league game (two on the road)....which hasn’t happened too often around year in the last quarter decade

I apologize for NOTHING...all wins are great!

After the Iowa loss, I remember some fans feeling OK, saying they played well

I'll take an ugly win any day over a pretty loss
Yea I agree at this point we need ugly wins. I wasn’t happy with the Iowa loss but they played pretty well against a solid team that night.
