Because I won’t believe it until we see it, where are the four wins we need to get into the tourney?

Dude, I know that last 30 minutes were rough after how well we played the first 10 or so, but we turned the ball over 21 times or something like that and still one on the road by eight. Also some really poor decision making taking shots early in the possession when we were up 12 or so late in the second half. And not the best coaching job ever by the staff. Still won the game by eight on the road.

We should be favored in five our last eight.
Agreed.

Next game, home vs. Minnesota. We will be favored.

At Iowa... underdogs.

Northwestern at home, favored for sure.

At Michigan... underdogs.

Maryland at home... favored.

Indiana at home... favored (unless we are losing some of those other favored games).

At Nebraska... favored.

At Minnesota... toss up IMO. If we are 11-8 and they are below .500, maybe we are favored here too.

Rutgers if they play as one and realize the game is 40 minutes long 5-3 or 6-2 is. within their grasp . and we are in . But they just as easily could be 3-5 or 4-4 .Which does this team want?

If people haven't figured it by now let me explain... Being favored means nothing other than theres a good chance we'll lose.

Seriously, stop looking ahead and counting "probable wins". Lets just hope we can win the next game.

That's such a negative way of looking at things unless you also apply this to our opponents and say we have a good chance of winning at Iowa, Michigan, and Minnesota. It is just probability math that if we have a 50% chance of winning each of eight games, the expected number of wins is four. If we have a 60% chance of winning five of the games, a 40% chance of winning two, and a 30% chance of winning the last, the expected number is 4.1 wins.

I am with you on taking them one at a time. We need to take down Minnesota to stay on schedule. Defend Carr, make Robbins work on both ends of the floor (feed Myles please), and this is a very winnable game.

I wish this board was around in '76. Some how I think people would have been negative even with that team.

"They should fire Young!!! Why does he play that freshman Bailey so much?"

"If Sellers is our best player we're in big trouble."

"Does anybody agree with me that we are way better when Jordan's not handling the ball?"

"Do you guys realize how good VMI is?? We lose by 10 at least!"

Three games ago, I would have said I dont think we win another game. After the first 6 games, I would have said we are going undefeated!
If the team continues to play defense and rebound like they have lately, they will get 4 more wins. Not sure where, but they will come.

I think 3 wins and we are in the first four . And if one of those wins is Iowa we are probably playing in the first round.
I believe the bubble is weak

This team could win every one of their remaining games or lose every one (or any combination in between).

I fully believe we end up beating Iowa and losing to either Indiana or Maryland at home.

We will also beat Northwestern and Nebraska. Will also split with Minnesota.

5-3 finish. 7 seed in the tourney!

If we beat Minnesota Thursday, I see us going no worse than 11-9 in conference.

WEe must take these one game at a time. We must only focus now on Minnesota on Thursday. every game in the BIG 10 is tough.
One advantage to being a fan and not an athlete is that I don’t have to focus on one game at a time – – and it’s fun to look at the whole picture.

By 1977 many fans in the stands were screaming for Young’s head. In fact, they were screaming that he was “boring.“ This was pretty interesting considering it came one year after that final 4 team, which was the least boring team I have ever seen.
