If anything, I’m concerned about less teams in ncaa tourney such as a 16,32 or 48 team field

all non major conference teams essentially have no shot at non conference wins.

I here what you are saying regarding the more teams the more issues.

in addition 80 teams means 79 games to put on TV and make back lost revenue.

Since the Ivy isn’t playing , there will be one more at large team making it this year.

No reason to expand it.. makes no sense.
1. It makes cents
2. With virtually no OOC games how do you know how good/bad certain conferences are
3. What about conference like A 10, MVC, or even P12?
4. If there is no NIT what about teams that win their conference and get upset in tuourney
5. What if some conferences don’t have tourneys?

small conferences can decide if they want tourneys or if they want the regular season champ to be the autobid winner...

Fair

I think there will be enough games that the conferences should be connected enough to rank them (although sure it will be more uncertain than other years) but even if you can't you just guess like they did with football. Adding teams doesn't solve this problem; it might make it worse because you are getting down to the middle of the pack where everything will start to blend together even more than it does at the ~top 50 cutoff currently.

3. What about conference like A 10, MVC, or even P12?

They've all played OOC games as far as I can tell? I'm not sure I understand the question here.

4. If there is no NIT what about teams that win their conference and get upset in tuourney

(a) **** 'em
(b) So invite the extra teams to the same place and have an NIT there instead of expanding the NCAA field.

5. What if some conferences don’t have tourneys?

Give the bid to the regular season champ like the Ivy used to, don't see a problem here either.

Flux,

let me add.....do you think a team Rutgers should get extra consideration this year, in the oft chance they need it, based on getting screwed last year.

I say yes

We think B1G is great. What is that based on? Very few OOC games in inventory.

as a side note watched a bit of 2 PAC 12 games (I know I am a loser). My eye tells me the Pac12 is awful.
