When Myles is sitting and Cliff is in, you want to push as much as possible, get Garza up and down the court

Luca Garza is the best player in CBB. We can't beat him if he is on fire.

Personally I'm gonna enjoy this win for tonight. I'll start thinking about Iowa tomorrow
I am too. already drinking a nice makers on the rocks . Just watching some of the Iowa game and watching him try to guard ball screens and move his feet is painful

Can I add abuse Bohannon. He can’t play D
Bohannon could be the worst defensive player in the conference . We need to attack him all day no matter who he is “guarding “. I honestly don’t know he could even stay in front of on our team

Iowa confusing team. They have Garza. Why not throw it inside to him all night. They are throwing up bricks, and their lanky white guys are driving and fumbling of missing jumpers. Mind boggling

It will be tough to win Saturday if we don't get back Ron. Having Cliff back would be big too, obviously. But if we can score 81 against Purdue without those two, we can score a lot against Iowa too.

I want Iowa to win somewhat comfortably tonight against NW. Don’t want them coming in angry.
Doesn’t matter if they are angry or not. At full strength , we are better than them , faster, actually play defense, can break anyone of their defenders down, and if they play that crappy zone , we will now move the ball and hit our threes. If they want to run we will do that against them just better. They are lucky they are catching us unhealthy as they are at full strength. If this was last year and if we were healthy now, this game would be like Seton Hall, Illinois or Maryland home games. Statement games. Statement drubbings. Now we just have to somehow hope Ron and Cliff and Jacob and Mag and Geo become healthy in 96 hours.

Let Garza get his I just don’t want to see us double often.

We over help too much in general, against Iowa if you overhelp someone is gonna bang a wide open three two passes later.

Toussaint may have injured himself in the game tonight. Only played four minutes. We will see if he is ready for Saturday. He averages 15 minutes this season.

That team is damn good. Little margin for error. Also, it seems like Jordan Bohannan has been there for 8 years already

Just saw that . Would be big for us because he actually has quickness that the other Iowa guards don’t have .

I come in peace. Sounds like Toussaint just rolled an ankle and should be good to go. Very important because he’s our best on ball defender and catch actually match the athleticism of your dudes. Otherwise we’re pretty awful on D.

We owe you guys a big payback for Weiskamp's last second 3 off the side of the backboard at the RAC 2 years ago. That was a ridiculous way to lose. Hopefully luck is on our side this time.

He's the one guy who can guard Young. No one else on your roster stands a chance. They both likely won't be 100% for Saturday though. Young looked like he was in a lot of pain towards the end of the game.

Nice win for you guys over Purdue with Harper being out. I hope he's back in for Iowa as you're going to probably need to score into the 80s to beat them. Their defense is not great, but they're an incredible team on offense if they're hitting their three-pointers.

NU was doing pretty well hanging with them last night and keeping Garza relatively in check until it got to 63-60. Then came what I thought were the two turning points in the game. First, Nance got a stupid technical called on him, which resulted in a five-point trip for Iowa and opened up a scoring gap. Secondly, of course, was Bohannan going out of his mind and throwing in five three-pointers from all over the court. He'd really only had one good shooting day out of their first eight games coming into Tuesday.

If a guy's going to toss in 23-footers against you when you're trying to double a Player of the Year candidate down low, that becomes pretty hard to stop. I'm still happy with the Cats' 3-1 start. I was figuring before the season we might be lucky to win 4-5 in the conference. I'm STILL not confident we'll get to .500 considering the way the league is this year. We'll see.

Rutgers has the personnel to get the win Saturday provided their top lineup is available. Good luck.

Funny , I mentioned that to my wife last night while watching the Iowa-NW game. That was the most incredible unbelievable shot I've ever seen. If I recall Weiskamp shot it from the side of or behind the basket yesterday yet it banked in. He could take it 100 times and never make it again.

I sit in 105 even with the basket ...that shot was not 100 to 1....try 5000 to 1. Never been a more off shot that went in in the history of game winning shots...

Any player can be beaten maybe not one on one but certainly by a team playing together. We’ll see hope we get everyone back healthy and soon.

I agree let him beat us or get his down low and stay on the other guys so they don't get their 3 pointers and we can beat them

If Young and Harper are anywhere near 100 percent, I think Rutgers can score with them as they did against Illinois. If those two guys are hurting, you're going to need a great defensive effort.

.

I mentioned this in another thread. The few times I get annoyed at JH and Mathis is when they go for the dunk on these types of plays and miss. It was great to see that Young laid it off the backboard instead. The defender would have had to go through him or goal tend (which happened) to get to the ball. That ball gets contested if he tries to dunk it and he has been missing those all year.

Either way, we need him on the court. He breaks down defenses better than anyone in the league. He is a one man press breaker too.
