I just woke up from a nightmare

I dreamt that we had a 16-point lead in the second half on the road against a top 25 team despite missing our star freshman center, but then the refs just started calling phantom fouls with the intent of fouling out our starting center and our third string center, and weren’t calling any fouls on the other team, and then our starting point guard fell to the floor in agony and couldn’t return, and the team crumbled and lost by 12 points.

Thank god it was just a nightmare. Whew!

Had the same dream, but it wasn’t a nightmare. Woke up smiling knowing it was 1 game, a teaching moment and most importantly (and I hate to write it, jinx reasons) we are a team that will be playing in the post season barring injuries.

Not only a great first half but a great 5-6 minutes of the second half until the bogus 4th foul on Myles setting the double screen for Ron up 16 after the steal. Changed the whole complexion of the games as Liddell got easy baskets. That team that played almost 30 minutes of really good basketball can play with anyone in the country.
But like you said, it s a nightmare. Vegas live betting probably had RU -1000 to win at the 13minute mark and with 3 minutes to go + 400. People still shaking their heads.

I’m a fast rebounder from tough loses usually.
Can’t get over this one.
Maybe it’s because in 64 years of life I’ve never seen a team be forced by Refs to not play defensive, rebound or set screens
I noticed that too, particularly with Myles. He was so concerned with getting his fifth foul he barely played defense on that play where he just stood there with his hands up. And what do the refs say there? “Nice try Myles, but you’re gone.”

We are down playing the effect of the 4 fouls, 2 of them bogus on Duke as well.
He was doing his job until he got his 4th

I actually think this game will end up helping the team in the long run. It will give them even more “fire” and more “us against them” type of attitude, and will also teach them not to lose their cool under pressure.

But, dammit, it still hurts to lose in this fashion. Game was just stolen from us by refs who favored the Blue Blood B1G team over the upstart outsider Scarlet-headed step child.

Use this as motivation, fellas.

The Rutgers basketball program may end up being in a better place if we don’t chase the number next to our name.

March 1 2021
November 1 2021
March 1 2022
November 1 2022

We need to think about how we maximize our program in conjunction with all these dates.

All well and good forward thinking.
Can’t get over not being permitted to play the game in a fashion necessary to win.

I agree 100% and then when Myles came back in with 4 fouls it was as if he had already fouled out as he wasn't even playing defense or going for a rebound; I have seen many bad calls against Myles the last couple of years but for our two big men to pick up 9 fouls while there big men had 1 is just absurd

No one at fault, needs fixed, not bad coaching, not bad play when you break down a little of what happened yesterday.
Boroski controlled the play inside, rewarded their bigs/guards with RU C fouls, didn't reward our guards going inside drawing fouls and JY's injury finished it

Looks like I'm going Boroski deep diving today as much as I can track.
