Myles must be suspended a game for tweeting about the refs. I know he was frustrated but this is a very low class move.

I know others are going to come to his defense but this type of behavior is inexcusable. Just suck it up and win here on. Going after refs is a terrible move. He is going to be a target from now on.

Myles had a terrible game. He didn't look like he belongs in the Big Ten.

You let coach be the bad cop. Myles must be suspended. He should not be on Twitter.
This makes Rutgers look bad.
I 100% respect your opinion. Just disagree

Sorry. You can’t accuse 3 officials for being on the take. That is a big no no.

He doesn’t have the right to do that.

"Where does it say you can't call out a ref?"

"Com'on Mikey..."

"Tom this man is taking it very personally..."

"I'm talking a diishonest ref, a cheating ref...a ref that caught up in the rackets, was on the take, and got what was coming to him....Tom, we've got people on payroll from Twitter don't we? Our people on twitter, they might like a story like that, wouldn't they?"

"They might, they just might."

Never said this before ...but the officials stole that game from RU. Period

For once that is actually true! I thought Pike should have taken his T on Myle’s 5th foul. He deserved the support Given the 3 awful calls against him.

You are such a snowflake
Snowflake is a 2010s derogatory slang term for a person, implying that they have an inflated sense of uniqueness, an unwarranted sense of entitlement, or are overly-emotional, easily offended, and unable to deal with opposing opinions.

If this is what you think I am I doubt anyone that knows me would agree.

How could you say the kid had a terrible game? Lol. He only played 15 minutes and through most of them RU was blowing out OSU.

Pike tells the refs off postgame he'll never get another call on the court again. He's playing the game the only way you can.

Underwood told the refs off after our game and everything was just fine in their game against Penn St.

Such an old school mindset on display here - another take of unwritten rules -that people followed blindly just because.

Speak your mind and move on. There are no consequences. Well, other than not speaking your mind, post-game or during the game, so as to get screwed by the officials much of the night and maybe going forward.

You call out the refs and you bring added attention to the officiating over your next game. The refs know this. They’ll call it as best as they can. Same thing applies in game with techs.

Disappointing is what happened to us in the game, and if we pretend everything was ok while the conference protects their crown jewel.

Don't let people push you around in life or theyll do it every time.
I am sorry. Bad officiating today. There is NO one out to get us.

Hard to look like you belong in the Big Ten when you get called for 5 fouls in 15 minutes. Guy is an elite rebounder and rim protector and he wasn’t allowed to do either today. This is an astonishingly bad take

Myles has every right to be absolutely pissed, but that's a really dumb tweet. It's vague enough that there couldn't be any legal action or league action, IMO, but Pikiell knows what he meant and I'll be very surprised if Coach doesn't discipline him in some way - maybe sit him for a half. That's just his way.

Bob Mueller & his posse aren't doing anything right now. Maybe start a go fund me page to get them to investigate this road loss and the others over the last say 10 years. Could be referee conspiracy and/or collusion.

Try to take the emotion out of it. He basically insinuated the refs were paid off. That is worse than just saying they stunk or are not good at their job. Is there a precedent for a college player making such an accusation? I hope I am wrong but I can't imagine the conference is going to tolerate that. I think it would be wise to issue an apology ASAP.

Whats the B1Gs rationale for those calls?

Total incompetence? A grudge?

Its not just a couple of bad calls...

I hope he doesn't get suspended. But he's 100% right. Pike afraid to say anything on the presser. Says the refs are "great" and he has to do a better job.

We never heard a peep from the conference when that d*ck from Maryland damn-near broke Noah Vedral's ankle... clearly caught on video. They'd better not say sh*t now. And I hate Pike's take. I'd rather he just say "no comment". No need for the false praise. If we can't count on quality officiating, why the hell bother with any of this? Goes directly to integrity of the game.

The conference has to rationalize judgement calls made by refs in a basketball game? They will review and probably acknowledge to RU that some of them were either wrong or borderline. We will never know because it will not be made public. It will be woefully inadequate.

No one is arguing that the RU coaches and players should be upset about several calls (Myles, Mulcahy and Young) made during the game. The issue is whether Myles tweets crossed a line that will have repercussions. Some of you sound like you would support a public lynching of the three refs given the amount of emotion being displayed . There is a fine line between being passionate and irrational. You want to say its an old school view that commenting on the refs is not in your best interests long term, that is fine, but what you say and how you say it still matters. Pike played for a master of working the refs in Calhoun yet chooses to take a different approach.

There is no question the situation sucks. The refs did not call it the same both ways. I do recall Myles overreacting to one of his early foul calls and thought he was fortunate to avoid a technical as he was jumping up and down. I also thought early in the game the refs were just bad both ways. One of Washington's early fouls seems like a phantom call as well.

We need to move on. While we looked very good for portions of the game, there were certainly some concerning developments on the defensive end. Teams are going to be physical against us. It is not hard to see why Young and Mulcahy would be targets for hard fouls when an opportunity presents itself. While it is hard to accept right now, we need to hope that we are better over the long for having gone through this. In the short term until we get a couple of guys back it may get worse. Williams from Purdue is a load in the post.

2 tweets, first one along the lines of “must have been 3 big cash outs in the gambling world, no other explanation” and the second was “17 days back at the RAC, no cheating s$$t this time” ....

thank you Myles. Some one has to say it. Even if he gets a fine from theBig Ten he has to say it. No more taking it on the chin and being the good little kids anymore. Rutgers has been abused for years by the officials, it’s time to have an uproar
They don’t fine college athletes.

What I find interesting is how we fans debated starting Johnson, worried about
Who would play his resting minutes etc

Just Johnson . No one else on the team

How smart are we as fans to foresee and anticipate so correctly?
Was gonna post something to this affect. I thought Douc would start and I was disappointed that Pike decided to start Myles. This is not hindsight. We were 6-0 starting a true freshman with Myles coming off the bench. It was working.

I think Myles thrives on coming into the game, with all 5 fouls intact and feeling like he can dominate and be aggressive. You come off the bench with confidence and an attitude, while the other team is thinking, “ah ****, we should have gotten a lead before he came into the game.”

good post..... probably coach did not want to chance being down early in the game...instructions to Johnson to play smart, avoid stupid fouls, etc....which is then hard to have happen on the court, because stuff happens out there.

on a side note, my next door neighbor saw me outside this morning and the first words out of his mouth were
"you got screwed"...... he is not a RU alum or big fan, but he will watch a game now and then because he knows I am a fan....

so he watched yesterday
