Myles didn’t score in the first half. Weak argument man. The other guys scored just fine, then went ice cold.

Don't know if you're talking to me... hut it's not all O - you know that right?

Myles leads the B1G in blocks and probably causes multiple shots every game to be altered and missed. And then there's the rebounds.

So no dude...what's weak / lacking is your rebuttal.

Hope we play these guys at the RAC...and hope we have a full compliment for the game.

Rutgers is down about 30-40 % ...Caleb out for the year; Geo still rounding into shape (thou he may have to get their more quickly with Young's situation?; Young ????; Cliff????

Congratulations: between injuries and officiating from HELL...mighty OSU defeated THE better team!

Refs are there to manage the game, not determine the outcome. Don’t tell me about unwritten rules of basketball.

RW...it’s good that you do recognize the ‘usual’ officiating handbook. One might think it’s only when fans are there, but why ? Even now, it’s the same. That’s always been the way games are called, pandemic or no pandemic. There’s no conspiracy against Rutgers.

There was no conspiracy? You mean there was no consistency, no fairness, no balance.

We should have mailed this one in ....and cancelled due to pre-covid precautions.

REFS really sucked in this one... and to defend it means you're either blind to the situation or just plain blind.👀

One or all of the refs are paid to make certain calls..

IMO OSU is NOT better than Rutgers. Period.

Put Young / the Other Big in foul trouble and we'd have blown them out by over 25. Also seemed like OSU Young got away with a lot of contact...and if Myles just looked at a player he was hit with a foul. BS!

MO
Young set moving screens all dAy. I urge you to watch the replay . He didn’t get called for one all game

Offensive, standing still with position.
OSU's Young , runs interference up the court for their point guard, all second half.?
Explain?
See my post. Only 2 chouces Underwood was living in their heads or it was intentional bias

If you guys don’t know there are unwritten rules of officiating, including favoring stars and home teams, well, I can’t help you.

OSU played better over the 40 minutes. RU couldn’t score later in the game and Myles being on the bench had little to do with that.
You are either blind or know **** about basketball. You statement that Ohio State played better over 40 minutes is ********. We outplayed them by a lot for 30 minutes. Myles gets 4th and 5th fouls and is out during last 10 minutes. Then still up Jacob gets bumped and takes that nasty fall. We are up 6 after Montez hits the foul shots but now no Myles, no Jacob so Ohio State’s coach , Holtman does the smart thing and feeds the post every trip. Duke cannot handle and the rest of our team forgets to rebound or help. They take the lead with under 5 minutes after Pike picked up the technical as Geo was fouled on the drive and no call which stretch their lead from 2 to 4. Bad timing. We then panicked and shot too many threes. Liddell and Young would have done crap if Myles is in the game. So your eye skills are not good because we were on our way to a double digit road win over a ranked team until the refs changed the course of the game and Jacob got hurt.

Ok guys home cooking and preferential treatment for certain players isn’t part of the game....and you are also all correct that the refs wanted Rutgers to lose. You guys are brilliant in your conspiracy conclusion.

Did they affect the outcome ? Of course. But not in an unusual way. This is always how games are officiated. Again, look at the Illinois box score and see the same kind skew but in our favor.

Do you also think all the calls favoring Garza are legit and by the book ? Of course not. Same goes for visiting teams. Reffing is an art. The game is theater, easily manipulated. Unfortunately for Rutgers the team fell apart with foul trouble on the bigs in the second half.

Pikiell understands the theater of course, which is why he basically said it’s on him to play substitution chess accordingly ... but today the chess moves didn’t work (put Myles back in too early).

We will win home games in the same way we lost on the road today. That’s basketball.

I thought the rest of the team did a poor job boxing out after Myles was out of the game. They're almost dependent on him grabbing all the boards.I Iwas really looking for more of an effort on the boards from our guards, even if they were out muscled by their bigger guys.

I wad also disappointed by Geo and Ron not taking over on offense the last 10 minutes. They're the leaders of the team and needed to step up. But I understand Geo isn't 100% yet.

When you have no post presence it is harder to score. I’m sure you get this.

Bardo said as much during the broadcast. I’ve rarely heard a commentator so openly criticize the disparity and ridiculousness of foul calls. Speaks volumes.

After such a terrible weak 4th foul, the refs CANNOT call that 5th. If anything Myles deserved a longer leash at that point.

You guys can’t even remember just one game ago ? Did you watch the Ilinois game or see the box score ? Nothing seemed peculiar in our favor ?

Did Ohio State get the calls today? Of course. Home teams do. That’s part of the game.

The 5th foul was borderline. He bumped the guy with the body. Doesn’t get called at the RAC but it does on the road.
This isnt debate class. You aren't required to be contrarian just to pass the class.

You can actually be objective here. Lol

I had stepped away for a minute and missed the 4th foul - holy crap that one might be as bad as the call on the 5th. I think people know I generally don't complain about the refs, but between those two calls and the dirty, flagrant hip check on JY while he was at the apex of his leap, which could've killed him and should've resulted in him being thrown out of the game, this could be the worst we've ever been screwed by the refs (outside of that SJU BET game many years ago).

This ALWAYS happens?

Lol, show me what percentage of games the opposing starting center fouls out (in 15 min of playing) and the backup gets 4 fouls or more. 100% of the time? (That would be all the time) 50% of the time? 10% of the time? 1% of the time??

Dude, the refs won the game for Ohio State. Completely and totally. Your refusal to acknowledge it doesn't change that fact.

It just makes you unusually stubborn.
