I have felt from day one this season that he is the key to success. The game was still in hand when he went down. The game ended when he was helped off the floor. The good news is that he is more athletic than anyone on either team. The bad news is that he is so athletic that he sometimes plays out of control. Hopefully is is good to go next week. He is not the best player on the team, but he is the engine which makes the team play at the highest level.

agree. I feel RU was still in it because on offense they could make plays, Without Jacob that pull the nail in the coffin. Hopefully he is okay and has a week to get healthy. RU was playing some really good basketball in the first half

Well, maybe he shouldn’t have hurt himself by attempting the stupid dunk when the layup was there. Bunch of self inflected wounds tonight.

Don't think he would have much success laying that one in. But with that said maybe just stop watching our team or college athletics for that matter.

Even though Ron Harper Jr is our best player, we found out today that the two players we can least afford to lose are Myles Johnson and Jacob Young

I think the game was already trending the wrong way at that point. We were shooting lights out most of the first half and into the second yet we were getting killed inside. Once Myles was neutralized by foul trouble and we cooled off shooting we started to press offensively. The disparity inside was just magnified. Very disappointed in our effort on the defensive boards.

Stupid dunk he missed 2 layups against Md because he did not go up strong here he goes up strong and gets taken out by a utterly dirty play where the other player makes no attempt on the ball other than to hip check him that is flagrant to me;

I saw the hip check by Young who didn’t want to get pasted like Haarms was last year

Did you see the Syracuse game when he didn't go up strong and got two breakaway layups blocked?
Why are talking about Syracuse game? See the play. He got hurt because he got stuff by the rim. He was fouled but it wasn’t a hard foul that caused the fall.

Young is a major offensive contributor because he is one on the few players that can dribble drive to the basket.and make the shot. With Young out there were only 3 offensive players on the court .Harper and Baker were taken out of the offense by the Ohio State defense and Mathis missed too many foul shots.

That was a flagrant foul....go back and watch it..got hip checked and went flying. Again refs Fd us in every way

he is the engine of this team so hope he is alright.

Mulcahy has to start stepping up and taking the ball to the basket...need him to engineer assists more often. Not cutting it shooting from outside

Its 3 players... Young Myles Harper. Need them all. Tonight showed JY is so essential to the team's success for those who didn't truly realize. Geo where were youuuuu

Young got fouled. Man made zero attempt for the ball. Its a dirty play. Love Young taking it hard to the basket throwing it down. Love love love it.

I am kind of agreeing with jtung here.

It isn’t Young it is the game. Shouldn’t a floater or a 4 foot shot have a higher success rate than trying to dunk in a 7 footer.

Feels like a QB trying to be a hero and not sliding. Jacob is going so fast and jumping so high...if he gets bumped slightly....

We were playing even better ball for the first 5 -6 minutes of the second half until Myles was called for the 4th foul setting the double screen for Ron as Geo had stolen the ball and we were up 16. That 4th foul changed things as it started Lidell getting easier baskets.

I am a big Jacob fan from the start. We need him on the court. His weakness is playing too wild or out of control. I just don’t want to see him hurt himself attempting crazy or unnecessary things.

It's called killer instinct. Being a baller. Having the heart of a warrior. Fearless.
That's why JY is playing at the highest level in college, and you're making ignorant comments on a message board.
JY is going to recover from his injury, and given the opportunity to dunk like that again, he'll do it.

100%. Love the fact he took it to the basket. It’s the finish. You don’t get more points on dunks. I’m glad he is ok but he could’ve seriously hurt himself with that stunt.

That’s exactly how they teach you. Take it up soft. FAH.
