Hands down the most annoying topic on the board in recent weeks.

Does any anyone know the progress of Caleb, might he come back this year?

As if anyone on this forum knows.

I know it’s with all good intent, just breaking balls, but no one here remotely has a clue.

Zap, your last statement extends well beyond the topic of Caleb’s possible return.😉

Not true : there are many on the Covid 19 thread who claim complete knowledge in many areas ... experts in the field of virology but yet can’t understand the delivery system for the vaccine is in for troubled times....

From Carino’s article today

With the NCAA loosening eligibility rules due to the coronavirus pandemic, the versatile McConnell could return at any point this season without a penalty if he’s feeling better. But both he and Pikiell have indicated that’s unlikely.

Wanna bet tomorrow a new thread asking about the availability of Caleb will appear on the board.

You are such a tool. I'm not an expert in virology at all, but I am an expert in the field of supply chains and distribution, having spent 30+ years in Pharma developing new drugs and bringing them through manufacturing and supply, and I'm pretty sure if we can vaccinate 65% of children and ~50% of Americans over 3-4 months for influenza, we can vaccinate the ~60% of adult Americans who say they will get a vaccine between now and the end of April. The distribution system for COVID is essentially identical to what we've been doing for the flu for decades, apart from the cryogenic storage requirements for the Pfizer vaccine, which isn't that complicated really (just needs dry ice).

Well #’s if you are an expert in supply chain distribution and that’s great you quoting that only 40% of people say they will take the vaccine than deflected and stated unless it’s more... of course it’s going to be more...I sure as heck want you and the others who are somewhat knowledgeable on this subject be correct... my snarky sarcasm is simply a result of the misleading information and outright lies propagated by people in charge over a year... How anyone can feel confident going forward is the problem... If DJT was scary then what we all witnessed in yesterday’s press conference is just as bad... weak... unsure... like a robot talking ... I myself am not confident that we can get the vaccines to people in need of it before June even if only 40% got vaccinated... We all better hope these current ones in the supply chain work and protect against any mutated virus in the system.

There's always a possibility, but from everything I have read in the pre-season up until now, it seems like he and coach are trying to avoid going down that road. Back injuries take a while to get right - especially for a basketball player. That said, if there is some bizarre rash of injuries (God forbid) and the team is severely undermanned to the point where they have trouble fielding a team, I could see someone being pressed into action.

Let him sit out a year like Durant did for Brooklyn. Next year he can replace Ron Harper Jr.
Also, it is not a good idea to bring him up this year. It will break the chemistry.
