Which major contributors do we lose?

A lot of these guys you’re mentioning are seniors, but if they don’t get drafted they have the opportunity to play another season. Perfect example is Korsak. Phenomenal punter, but the NFL market for punters is so small...might be a chance they’ll be back.
I don’t think Bo is leaving nor Fatukasi... Bo needs another year and Fatukasi has his cousin coming in from Temple transfer Ifeanyi Maijeh... the others could stay and play if they wanted to...I don’t believe the NFL is calling Turner and Dwumfour ... even Fogg is a borderline type.
I think any senior can play another year, does not mean they will come back to the team they currently play for. Coaches' choice to invite them back I believe
Correct. The same is true for RS juniors. The B1G rule is that schools are not obliged to offer a fifth year. Doesn't matter where the player spent the first four, as long as he was on scholarship somewhere. For instance, RU is not required to renew Vedral's ship for next year, although they likely will.
That's my understanding. You either declare for the draft or not. Once you do, that's it, your college career is over. If you don't get drafted, football is done altogether. If I was on the bubble, I would play another year to increase my chances of getting drafted.
What a ridiculous way to do things. If someone's willing to pay you, you should be able to leave college and take the job. If nobody's willing to pay you, you should be able to keep playing in college.

Will be an interesting off season for sure. Always a delicate situation for coaches to either encourage or discourage players to return. Even more so this year with the NCAA granting all players a free year. Given the era of player/student empowerment I would think the staff and NCAA will provide the players quite of bit of latitude in their decision making process. I would assume the expansion in scholarship limits will be assigned to players rather than just increasing the pool for schools to use as they see fit.

Personally I don't see Melton leaving after one good year. He progressed as the season went on but I think needs another year under TU.
I think it may have changed to you can declare but if you announce you are going to skip the draft and go back for a final year, that gives you the ability to appeal and have a year back- such as Lumor. But if you keep your hat in the draft, you can not appeal after the draft is over.

With that said- 03 is going...1st team B1G, lead the nation in tackles per game and have a NFL body...At least a 3rd round pick.
Dwunfour- oh boy, so debatable. I would think he is a 6/7 round grade. Maybe could jump up to 5th or could drop to a preferred FA. But also plays a position where you always have to worry about injury. A lot will depend on his discussions with his family.
Fogg - Same as above. But I think after playing through Ash, he may have a special motivation to come back. Could be next years 03
Melton- He and his Brother had so much fun this year. Dad is a smart football guy. Family really values school and Rutgers. He now has a NFL body. He has amazing film- which include great catches, blocking, route running, special teams and that extra push that separates the good from great. But...he only has it for 1 year. Maybe a 5/6 round guy, now. Come back another year, play with his brother again, have that extra motivation Fogg has and maybe play his way into a Britt/Sanu/Carroo status...I have him at a Underwood/Moses type guy right now but he has that next step he could make to the elite. Coming back
Turner- unless his body is saying he is done- I can't see why he doesnt come back. He may get a camp invite. And believe me- that is not a knock on the kid but a great compliment. He is a super undersized DT in the most brutal conference in football for that position and he has been disruptive and every team had to plan around him. He just doesn't have NFL size. Even if he has NFL sill and heart. He will be back

All depends on draft round predictions,and I'd more time will improve that stock.
I think 03 might improve his stock with another year, dwum I think is at his ceiling, bo I believe improves his stock with another year.
I think it may be too hard for 03 to turn down...most likely goes in a round that gives him at least 2-3 years on a team before he would have to worry about his job. But you are right- play a 2nd year at this level and he jumps into those areas where his life is guaranteed with his signing bonus and contract. He is in a great place-
Dwumfour IMHO will get eaten alive in the NFL..the issue is he has had a history of some injuries and Is banged up now. He has some size and intensity but you did see these Nebraska monster O lineman devour us in the run game... 03 has his brother in the NFL and has a chance someday... My thinking is he plays along with his younger brother ( frosh O lineman ) and his cousin who is transferring in from Temple..
With everything this year, some guys throughout college football that normally would have been looking to play in the NFL (including some that would have exhausted their college eligibility this fall under normal circumstances) will return to college football next year. So the 2022 draft could be tough. For a guy like O3, he may have a better shot getting drafted higher in 2021 than 2022 because the numbers may work against him in 2022 unless he has another great season.

He was highly rated N.J. kid who did not pan out at Michigan and came home thinking playing time. Unfortunately , he either had an injury , peaked awhile ago or slowed down or something because he is just not getting it done . Probably combo of mental and physical. GS would have to decide if he is serviceable at LB next year.
Agree Bo would probably enhance his NFL prospects with another college year. I hate to be a DebbieDowner, but is there a chance he considers transferring to a team with a better QB/passing attack--maybe in ACC? I know his brother Max at RU is a factor.
I think a good comparison for Dwumfour is Sebastian Joseph-Day who had a nice senior season and has found succes in the NFL.
Did Barrow already declare?—O3 May want to stay to play with his two relatives-Wonder if Korsak is considering NFL, CFL, and Australian Rules Football
Am I correct that with this weeks NCAA ruling, if a Division 1-A player drops down to 1-AA, he can play in this Springs 1-AA season?
Ohio State, Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, and Georgia get 125 scholarships. Everyone else gets the same.
