We are just better than Syracuse

Nothing more to it. We were without two very good upper classman guards but it didn’t matter. RHJ is turning into a super star. Montez was great. JY was great. Myles had some big plays down the stretch. Mulcahy was solid.

We are just better.

They were also missing their starting center, Sidibe.

This would’ve been an even better matchup if neither team was missing two key players each.

Geo was the best player out for either team tonight....although the fruit fans only focus on who was out for them. Either way we beat them by 10. We are the better team and it feels great!

1st 38 minutes of the game a lot of people can make compelling arguments against this. The great news is that the arguments can be made using 3 other players

If the fruit had Boeheim they prolly win... the way we played.

BUT.. if Boeheim was there maybe we would have played with more energy. Any Syracuse fan who watched this game and thought they saw Rutgers near its best.. sadly mistaken.

Rutgers is just the better team.. THIS YEAR. And still.. we got a dog of a game like this in us. It wasn't as bad as St. Bonnies last year.. or the Michigan MSG game.. but it was not good. Just happy they won.

Good teams find a way to win even when they play crappy.

I thought it was very obvious we were the better team and had more talent. The way we played is why we only won by 10

SU lost last night, and it couldn't happen to a better group of fans. 🤣 They have some mean and nasty things to say about Rutgers after the game on their fansite. They kept referring to RHJ as fat boy or pudgy. They continue to say they were the better team and more talent. Hey, I get it, but don't demand respect from us if you can give it.

wow... that is deranged. In no way were they the better team... and we all know how poorly Rutgers played compared to what we saw late last year and in the first games.

I'd like to see Syracuse vs Hofstra.

My advice to Syracuse.. ask Boehiem to retire to some executive position and bring in some big name young coach. Use teh Syracuse name , while you still have it, and Jim Boehiem's experience and mentoring to get something going. Surely Jim Boeheim must have a coaching tree they can tap. Hmmm... is Jim Boeheim holding on so his son, currently a player, can, one day, take over?

This was not vintage Syracuse but to be fair they were without their center and 3 point sharpshooter. Its a team that will be better by years end and they have talent, just up to Boeheim to mold it. In some respects this looked like a RU team from a pick a year from the 90s and 2000s.....get down, claw back by doing nothing particularly impressive, take the lead on the road and then collapse just when you get your hopes up. How many times did we see OLD RUTGERS pre Pikiell up 3 on the road only to get hammered in the closing minutes.

I wasnt impressed by any of RU's 4 opponents just yet but I like that each game has been a step or sometimes in the Cuse game several steps up in level. I think we are tested in good ways heading to Maryland

I feel good about Rutgers going into the Maryland game.

What the hell happened at the end last night. I went to bed out of disgust down 5 and because it was late. I later see us win by 10. Damn, I missed a finish.

We both looked bad yesterday but Syracuse looked worse. Not a pretty game to watch.

And we didn’t have our fans in the RAC

You think he’s holding on long enough for one of his colleged-aged sons to take over?

No idea.. 45 years is a long time. No way he can last for a son to take over.. he was 3 years out of college when he became an assistant.. and 32 when he became head coach.

So, while he might last long enough for a son to join the staff.. no, I don't think he can hold out for them to be head coach. More power to him if he can. He's 76 now.

Our guys weren't even taking them serious. As soon as we got serious- we quickly blew them away. I guess they don't even know how good Geo is. His name is known throughout the B10 for a reason
Their fans are so dumb that they're talking about geo like he's just a good player and not one of the best players in the big ten. As if having him would not have meant a great deal.

Caleb = Buddy Bayheim.

Geo = no one they have on their roster.

They have a .400 team in the B1G. Very average. Our C game handled them pretty easily. When push came to shove, it wasn't a match.

It's pretty telling that we still haven't, imo, played a really good game and we've got 4 double-digit wins. When Geo returns and the rotation gets normalized, we might just be really good.
