Worried about this one especially after a 9 day layoff. I still think RU gets the W but it'll be nerve wracking.

Hopefully all the time to prepare will result in a good game plan vs the zone

With both Buddy and their starting center OUT, that more than makes up for us missing Geo for this game. I'm still concerned about our offense against their zone, but Pike has had more than a week to work on zone offense, and I think he'll have the team ready.

68-55 Rutgers. I just don’t see how they will score inside on us. With no center and Myles/Cliff there the whole game, they will have no choice but to shoot a lot of 3s. I fully expect them not shooting 65% from 3

What are the potential factors behind why there would be any difference?
guess (what I mean is, for you to respond as you did you have an argument waiting in the wings... what is it?)

OT: as I searched for stories on performance and playing later at night.. I found some stuff on NBA during the Disney stay.. tweeting late at night.. performance of west coast to east and east to west.. and a 2019 story that sounded right.. except "performance" referred to a Snoop Dog "performance" at a Kansas game while they had recruits in the stands.. including pole-dancers and shooting $100 bills toward the recruits....

They can try for foul calls.. drive into our big guys expecting the call because of the name on the jerseys and their coach.

I overthink things way too much........you have taken things to a much higher level.

It depends how we attack the zone do we get it in the middle to MUlcahy and does he shoot the open 15 footer because that area is open and you can attack with the high low

The Fruit hit 15 threes against Rider so we’d better step up (out) on our perimeter D....we win going away 71-63

Cuse is gonna be raining threes all day, going to be a really tough one. Unfortunately like Penn State in football we struggle with these storied programs.

fortunately, our last game was against Hofstra, which plays that
same 2-3 zone that Syracuse employs, so it's not a defense that
the team hasn't seen.

But we were horrible against that zone. We got a bunch in transition and still couldn't crack 1.00 points per possession.

FWIW, here are the predictions of three Syracuse beat writers for the Daily Orange:

RU 78, Syracuse 70 - thinks SU can win if they stay hot from three.

RU 78, Syracuse 66 - expects us to dominate on the glass on both ends, and again says they can maybe win if they make lots of 3s.

Syracuse 71, RU 68 - oddly enough, this writer feels this is a trap game for our team looking forward to the Maryland game. ??? We haven't played in some time, I am sure our guys are focused on tonight's game.

This makes me feel good about our chances. Mathis and Young need to stay with their men on the outside, don't sag off of good outside shooters to help inside. We have a big size advantage and will exploit it. We've been looking to push the ball for fast break opportunities and will do that again tonight.

How much does cuse win by if they weren't missing 2 starters on the road? Are they top 15 type team in your view?
