Time for Gleeson to figure it out, 3 quarters, this isn’t Alabama, there has to be 1 thing their D is doing wrong, find a way to move the ball

Let's do it mountain style/ Trap 'em,skin 'em and stretch 'em out to dry. They are getting interior penetration from the defensive line. You stop it by trapping the defensive tackles.
No question about that. Greg has them giving their all.We have non -Big Ten players playing their hearts out.
If this was an ASH coached team I would have been glad to provide an Uzi.If we had something resembling an offense, we could have had a shot today.
We can not block people. And they sniffed out a series of nice misdirection plays. We couldn't throw deep because of pressure, we couldn't throw short because of man lock, we couldn't run inside because they killed us on the interior, we couldn't stretch because they killed us on the edge, their lbs sniffed out screen because they didn't need to bring them for heat. What else you want him to do?Time for Gleeson to figure it out, 3 quarters, this isn’t Alabama, there has to be 1 thing their D is doing wrong, find a way to move the ball
Coaching plan in the first half didn‘t work. Tweaks and corrections for the second half helped some. But it looked like they were just faster, more physical, and played with more energy when it mattered. which happens. We can not block people. And they sniffed out a series of nice misdirection plays. Thank you/lock thread. Instead we will get to read people tell a former coach why he’s wrong. We can not block people. And they sniffed out a series of nice misdirection plays. Maybe on offense ,but not on D where multiple players will get an NFL look.If our D returns next year( even without 3,8,& 99) then we will still be really good.Night & day from last year.Strong recruits will make things even better,Fatukasi is our best player in years and will be am early round pick.We have non -Big Ten players playing their hearts out.
Perhaps it is the other way around.. if we threw deep, perhaps some of the other things might work.We can not block people. And they sniffed out a series of nice misdirection plays. Disagree that the rest of the team played well. There were some good moments for sure, but not near;y enough. Izein was, to me, a standout who played very well throughout the entire game. The O Line was finally exposed today. The rest of the team played well. It's going to take some time. $$$$
Csnt throw deep if you can’t protect the QB And WRs don’t have enough time to get separation.Perhaps it is the other way around.. if we threw deep, perhaps some of the other things might work.

The LBs were caught out of position too often, especially in the first half. not really sure why, but to my non-football-educated eyes, it looked like they were either getting drawn inside by stuff PSU was doing, or they were just trying to compensate for our D line getting shoved around.
That got fixed, it seemed mostly, for the second half.
The OLBs also seemed to be more disciplined, for the most part, about holding their ground outside and preventing the same easy runs in the second half. Or maybe they just fought through blocks better? or maybe PSU went away from the same runs that were killing us in the first half.Switched to nickel defense in second half with extra DB instead of LB to cover the slot. The slot guy killed us in the first half. D was solid. O couldn't get anything going. Losing TOP battle hurt too.

Fogg didn't even playEasy to see Fatukasi and Izien today. OLB were definitely better in second half. Fogg struggled inside.
Big shout-out to Naijee Jones though. Made a ton of tackles that saved big plays and softened the blow of Brendon White being out. White's absence against Illinois hurt us. Tremendous job with player development over the year on both sides of the ball. Washington had one heck of a catch in the second half that didn't count bc he fell OB but still managed to hang on.
Better days are coming. Small speed bump today but hopefully back in the W column next week
Fogg was injured but played anyway. He had limited practice this week. Greg addressed this in the post game presser.Fogg didn't even play
