Care so much about kids getting back to school (you don't, but let's pretend)? Why don't you try getting the abysmal leadership on your side to actually take things seriously and do what's needed to quell the virus enough to do so.

Oh yeah, and if we're talking about schools spending money to prepare for in-class learning during a pandemic, at a time of frozen budgets, you need to start talking about getting them resources, not threatening to take them away.

Other countries for the most part had effective national plans of testing , tracing and lock downs and are now in good shape able to send kids back to school with out fears.

The USA has had no good national planning for anything, thus things a mess and will probably get worse in the fall.

I mean, maybe you pop out of internet life just long enough to attend actual school board meetings, but no one believes that. And regardless, schools aren't leaving this decision up to a Joe Schmoe taxpayer vote.

Actually.. getting back to school to program millions of childrens brains toward hating the country is probably not something I would prefer.. but the children need the other 75% of school to become useful members of society so I don't have to be a ROAD WARRIOR in my old age. Idle hands are the devil's playthings.

Great post . Most people don’t understand how much all of this is going to cost schools , yet want to just throw everyone back in with no plan or safety resources . Do you realize how much extra custodial staff and cleaning resources they will need to have ? That’s just one item. Just like Donny did , you want a quick fix and throw a baindaid at the problem. With this virus , it doesn’t work that way and that’s why we’re in the situation we are in , with half *** measures . Let’s make sure that when we go back , we go back with proper safety resources and plans for all . If that’s in September , great but let’s not half *** it like we’ve done everything else or else we’ll all be back in lockdown again soon .

Nevermind the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) came out with a strong statement in favor of bringing children back to the classroom this fall wherever and whenever they can do so safely. The AAP guidance "strongly advocates that all policy considerations for the coming shool year should start with a goal of having students physically present in school."
