OT: Crab Palace in Newark?

Just read a few reviews. Now that I am 2500 miles away it prolly doesn't matter but has anyone been there?Your thoughts?

Been there several times. It’s in an industrial area. Great place for takeout steamed seafood. Prices are reasonable, and they always seem to give you a little extra. The house seasoning contains cinnamon, so keep that in mind if you prefer a different taste.

I know, sounds strange. I think it’s a mix of Old Bay, salt, and cinnamon.

Not the only place to get crabs in Newark

Many good restaurants on it adjacent Ferry St. Though maybe not as fresh as The Palace

Would these be blue crabs or other types, such as King, Snow, Dungeness, etc?

Blue crabs IMO, are by far the best tasting crabs

I can vividly recall getting crabs in Newark back in the late Seventies. Blue Ointment took care of the problem

Yes, the live ones will be blue claw crabs. The others (king, snow, dungeness) will be frozen.

I never joke about crabs or seafood in general or the sexually transmitted versions of the 60's and 70's..that a few of us may have encountered.
