CE Board gone?

This thread is a pretty good microcosm of what went wrong on the CE board. There was even a warning a few weeks ago on there.

Guess everyone will have to talk about Rutgers now on the Rutgers message boards.

Just for haha's a few weeks ago I went back and checked who I have had pleasant PM discussions with.
90% were those on the "other" side. One or two might shock you.

That is because you discussed topics. You gave your opinion and tried to make your case. That gets respect even from those that disagree. Too many there just lashed out, many times not even about the thread topic.

reddit is a good place for that type of junk.

Reddit, believe it or not, actually has very meaningful and substantive discussions about politics if you’re on the right subs. They also have good moderation, which is always what the CE board lacked. Almost every single person on the CE board, myself included, would have been perm banned from either r/politics or r/politicaldiscussion.
