Oscar tweet from Nick Brooks

[Shell21]

Would be big if true . We know Pike loves the kid already .

[Jtg=04131996]

Coming in mid-season was massive. Definitely expecting him to contribute, but also love that he shouldn’t need to be relied on to play more than 10-15 minutes unless he’s ready or the injury bug bites.

[Scarlet Shack]

We are LOADED and DEEP

[NewJerseyHawk]

I keep reminding myself that Mag and Palmquist are legitimate bodies and don't have to step into a huge void from Day 1....BUT Oskar in particular was one recruiting target that hit the scene and I thought maybe we didn't have a shot to land him.

Once you see the tape and range, the skill sets translate to this level. There is a void for Yeboah and his production (specifically from 3) but I think the staff really believes in both frosh. My guess is it won't be smooth sailing from Game 1, but combined with the ability to exceed Yeboahs productivity over a long season.

Would be a pleasant surprise

[FELONIOUSMONK]

Skjut de Tre Oskar. A universal chant. Swedish. English. Yiddish. Shoot that 3.

[BillyC80]

If he can defend, Pike will love him, and so will we.

[mikebal9]

As posted above, the only thing we lose this year (and don't replace with Cliff) is Yeboah's 3-point shooting. If we get that from Oskar, we're looking really good. Did I just allow myself to think that?

[Mr_Twister]

Given the thread title that misspells the player’s given name, I thought this had some tie-in to the film industry.

[Caliknight]

Kid looks like he can shoot. Which is the one thing we’ve been missing for a decade.

[Shell21]

Kid looks very smooth on tape . Plays with a nice pace and looks like he can shoot it . I also love some of those sets Sweden was running for him , especially the slob ones . Hopefully Pike steals some of them !

So that's what games will look like with no fans in the stands.

Apparently

Are some of those from NBA 3 point line ?

Can he do anything else aside from shoot 3s?

[HeavenUniv.]

This is just a generalization, but I notice foreign players shoot free throws well and are very good passers.

Apparently pike and some of the players say he is super athletic so I’m guessing he can score at the rim too , but you can’t really tell that on these film highlights

[RUPete]

I'll take the 3s for now.

From that tape, he reminds me of the Euro player at Nebraska

That guy was kind of a pain in a$$ if I remember correctly.

I hope he is the next Chris Mullen ,a outstanding left handed shooter.

Or Nick Van Exel

[RU82]

I hope Nick knows what he’s talking about. It would be great to get a new shooter on the floor next year.

[YoucancallmeRay]

Looks to be a good fit. I like his BB IQ and he doesn't seem shy about going to the rim. Of course it might be different when he tries to take it in against guys his own size. Also, we don't see much defense on these highlights. I take the 3 point shooting with a grain of salt because he was unguarded on almost all of them that I saw.

[80RU]

I love the video – – happy to have someone who shoots 100%.

[ScarletDave]

You know what they say, either you can shoot or you can’t

Oskar, not Oscar.

He’s not a grouch.

[RUJMM78]

Its true but there are lots of players that are pretenders.
