So I do doordash in the winters to supplement my income if snowplowing is lean. I am continuing on Friday and Saturday nights now though because the pay is like $40/hr. Lately I have to wait 10 -15 minutes at restaurants because of the surge of peeps taking out. I'm watching safety practices at some of these places and its not good. Tonight I watched a runner get food from the back and if the women at the counter was busy on the phone she would then take customers credit cards to pay (most establishments let you pay over the phone or in an app but this one doesn't.) I watched her numerous times after this go to the sushi station and take containers and put lids on them potentially contaminating the food from previous transactions. She had gloves on but that really didn't matter as whatever was on the credit cards transferred to her gloves. Another place I saw a worker with gloves talk on his phone and then after he was done continued to work without changing gloves. I'm sure a
lot more of this is going on but most folks don't even have a clue what goes on.
