COMMIT ALERT: Virginia WR Max Patterson chooses Rutgers Football

Awesome, welcome!
Richie--isn't that FOUR other offers?
"The 5-foot-11, 170-pound wide receiver prospect choose Rutgers over the likes of three other offers from Fordham, Monmouth and William and Mary."

[ruspe11]

Big thanks to the staff at TKR for not jumping the gun and prematurely posting a commitment article until Max was ready to announce his decision.

[superfan01]

High energy player.

Who did they preannounce? And why does this keep getting brought up.

[AshCatchEm]

Other WR recruits better commit fast. We only take one more, two max if they're really special.

Grats and welcome max

Max, Welcome to The State of Rutgers and your Scarlet Knights !!!:Rutgers:CHOP:

[Knight Shift]

Holy smokes, what a tape!

Here's what Todderick of NJ.com said:
https://www.nj.com/rutgers/2020/03/...-underrated-wide-receivers-in-the-region.html

He’s dynamic, can run routes, has great hands, ball skills, body control and he becomes a running back after the catch. Best of all, he’s productive, and makes plays at a high clip. The 5-11, 170-pound wideout reminds me of Janarion Grant -- the former Scarlet Knight -- or Jahan Dotson, who plays at Penn State.

This kid just does everything well as a wide receiver. Good get.

I think this kid is also a filmmaker - I felt like I was watching a 30 for 30 episode. Congrats to Max and welcome to the Banks!

[Jabanero]

Nice!
Welcome to the Banks!!
Speed & more Speed...

[GoodOl'Rutgers]

must have good hands... if you're going to commit to a spread passing attack, first you need hands and quick cuts.. then speed.. then size.. of course you want all of that.. but you cannot tolerate dropped balls.

welcome Max!

Not happy at all. Sucks to think this could impact RU recruiting when they did nothing wrong. Makes me think of the Kaymar Mimes situation a couple of years ago..... NO BUENO!!!!

[RUsince52]

Seems like a nice kid who can help us. Almost a no Brainer picking a B1G program vs the smaller schools. But sometimes kids fool everyone.

@Richard Schnyderite

Why was he not offered by the Virginia schools?

UVA
VA Tech
James Madison

I assume these side comments are about a certain player that we still have a chance with and bridges have not been burned.

This one is from my 'hood. Must have been the Block R on my car.

You're welcome fellas.

Welcome aboard, Max!

Tim Brown Bo Melton, and I think Janarion Grant featured in his video. You think the staff told him some of what they think he can bring to the table?

[KevH]

That commitment video is FIRE! :Fire:Fire:Fire :CHOP:

46,000 views ! AND he lives by Tiquan Underwood Street !:Rutgers:CHOP:
