Unfortunately I agree with you. I hope at least they will go through with the selection process so our team can feel the glow of being a tourney team.
I doubt they do the selection thing if they will cancel.. why upset the first four and next four out?

Postpone and see how things shake out over next few weeks with the virus. Logistics may dictate an NIT type of format.
It will be canceled. Probably today.... but then it is the NCAA. They may let the fans in and ban the players this time.

When everyone forgets the Coronavirus in 2 weeks like we all did the swine flu there will be people begging to play the games. Move everything up exactly 1 month (4 weekends) and force it to be regional sites as to help travel costs ... all prepurchased tickets are valid to the final four

why cancel when you can postpone for now and make a cancel decision later when you have more data.
Also, as testing kits become available you can test players before games.
Well....every team except Nebraska, whose coach is probably most directly to blame for the tournament being cancelled.
Even though it’s the NBA, Rudy Gobert has more to do with it. Once the NBA canceled, you knew everyone would have to.
if it cannot be played in April, it just needs to be cancelled, but there is no reason to cancel right now...just take a pause and see what happens, we will now better whats going on in two weeks
feel bad for the players, especially because they probably are thinking whether they were exposed to anything based on traveling out there....

If they do postpone, maybe restructure the tournament so there is less travel and less sites (with no fans). Play multiple games at limited sites (like the conference tournaments or the old NIT at the Garden). You just may be able to pull off something like that with a postponement.

All these venues and cities don't make it easy to just postpone it a month. The venues are undoubtedly booked for other events. I suspect the NCAA is looking at an alternative that uses university venues and other options as a back up plan but it's still very complicated to move a multi-week event.
I love how people think you can just move a multi city tournament involving millions that takes a year to plan a month later on a whim.
I think you just cancel. Life moves on. It’s a basketball tournament from cripes sake.
Just kicking around some potential solutions - you better believe the NCAA is doing the same thing for a tournament of this magnitude (sponsorship $$$). Bottom line is that they don't have to make that call before the end of this weekend.
