Nice to see a conference not caving to the media hype. Hope they have hand sanitizer stations etc. Hygiene still important but the media is overhyping this thing.

Hoping for more good news from NCAA soon.

Can you elaborate?

This is not hype.

This a medical care system that had been decimated by decades of efficiency experts not having the surge capacity or resources necessary.

This is a CDC cut from the top including the entire pandemic unit.

This is a country stoked to such partisanship that new viruses become seen through partisan lenses and science is completely disrespected without trust by millions.

These are all very dangerous things.

This situation is not a media creation.

It is evolving, dynamic, and destabilizing. And what we believe today will somewhat be borne out by future events, but some things will change.

Closing down large groups is a part of the disruption. And may prove to be important.

Rutgers has closed meetings of larger than 15. There are no magic numbers on this. And if it works it will all appear to have been unnecessary. And if it doesn't, it will have been not sufficiently restrictive. And we won't know for a while.

In the mean time, good hand hygiene, some social distance, and advanced common sense will help.

Even as our systems are not fully equipped to handle this.

Yeah..it's not the flu. The flu doesn't hospitalize the 32 yr old fit and healthy fort Lee PA and hook him up to all sorts of tubes.

I was at the diner the other day. In the time it took me to wash properly, 3 diners came and went while rinsing off their hands for 5 seconds.

Thank you Loyal_2RU.

To my Rutgers Brethren:

Please listen carefully to what Loyal_2RU and Healthcare Officials are saying.

This is a serious situation in which we don't know enough yet about the Patient Profile or long-term effects of Coronavirus....it definitely spreads (direct contact, coughing, sneezing) from being within 6 feet of a person that has Coronavirus. In severe cases, breathlessness is a symptom.

If you remember reading about the people in Oregon that refuse to vaccinate their children for Measles. A person with Measles can sneeze in a room the size of an auditorium and it will live for at least 15 minutes throughout the entire room.

Once a person that has not been vaccinated breathes the Measles virus, the virus disguises/replicates itself at a rapid rate instead of your immune system killing the foreign virus. These persons have a 5-15% chance of dying from the virus.

Why am I telling you this story?

It is certainly possible that even with a vaccine, a form of Coronavirus may become another form of annual Flu types...they already know in severe cases, breathlessness is a symptom. Don't take a risk with your respiratory system being affected in any way.

Finally, My Partner and I run a Biotech with (4) Phase III Nasal Sprays for Chronic Breathing Diseases with no known side effects (Pulmonary Fibrosis is completed, Cystic Fibrosis, COPD, and Unmet Needs).

If you have severe Allergies, Asthma, or COPD, you should avoid crowds, transportation services, arenas, and closed rooms with people.
Respiratory is our specialty and do everything to protect yourself from a any potential breathing problem that could start the process of scarring the lungs.

I love watching basketball games at the RAC, but firmly believe the Tournament should be played without spectators this year. Enjoy the games at home.
