Keep an eye on Rider’s Dimencio Vaughn. NYC kid having a heckuva year at Rider and will be graduating in the spring.

shooting 45% from 3, is a 6’5 athletic wing.

He’s nationally ranked on kenpom in the following categories:
Effective FG %
True shooting %
Defensive rebound %
Blocks
Steals
Fouls drawn
Free throw rate
3 pt fg %

hes going to have a laundry list of suitors and i hope we can land him

I guess it depends on the Big's we land? We really can't depend on Doucoure and I wouldn't be shocked if he left.

We’ll have enough ships left for a grad transfer like Vaughn + a big.

We absolutely need to find a solid body for center next year for B1G play to help Miles ..

ps. He's 15 mins down Rt. 31 from me. Let me know if he needs a ride to the RAC.

Cliff, DeAndre Pinckney, and a grad transfer.

Probably not Vaughn. He's been an average at best shooter up until this year.

Maybe he worked hard to improve, I know it's possible!
It so maybe he'd be a great example to our guys.

Id keep a watchful eye here. Dont think we’re going to go after a guard but more of a 3/4 to replace yeboah who can play 20 mins a night. This kid is perfect.

im thinking we land cliff, target dimencio, lose mcconnell and kiss to transfer

We have a wing(Palmquist), stretch 4(Reiber), and combo 3/4(Mag) coming in. Two of those three will fill in Yeboah's shoes, whichever Pike decides is ready to contribute. If we land Cliff, he takes Carter's role. I wouldn't mind taking a sit out 2 yr transfer to pair with Mulcahy (only 1 in his class) or if they eliminate the sit out transfer, an eligible sophomore. We need to balance classes a little.

I agree with the sit out transfer. If they get Cliff or another high school big, there are very few minutes left for anyone else.

The problem is with comparing stats from this kid Vaughn at Rider against Power 8 competition. It's not apples to apples. Peter Kiss shot 40.8% at Quinnipiac. You can't measure the intangibles like how would he play Defense against B1G comp. Would he be able to create his own shots with a guy in his face and still shoot 45%?

Looking at Vaughn's stats this season.
8 pts vs Az St
7 pts vs Umass
11 pts vs Temple
7 pts vs Wisc

he did light it up for double digit points against the league competition that they play in

Speculating that Caleb may leave is dispicible
Lol, okay? Isnt that what a message board is for? Speculating?

history shows that we always have a player who has played transfer every single off-season dating back to like forever. Find me one team that didnt have someone transfer or leave early in the past decade

Caleb will be a huge part of this team next season, don't write him off this season either.

He's tough, skilled with a good touch, has length , heart.
Id love to have him back hes one of my favorite players, but this is d1 basketball when kids transfer left and right when their minutes get cut

I love Caleb since day 1. EO transferred being the star player captain. Anyone can transfer. Pretending that isn't a thing isn't living in the real world. He played 5 minutes last game. Obviously players want more minutes than that. Hope he stays but its definitely a possibility

Well in bball you always have kids leave when their minutes are cut. Backcourt is losing anyone so hes probably gonna wanna go somewhere to get minutes

Earlier you said Mathis would go and at that time he was losing minutes especially in the second half of games. Now Mathis is a key component in at crunch time..

McConnell was hot earlier in the year and is now going through a sophomore slump. I would not be surprised to see him rebound in the BTT.

I think this core group of sophomores knows that they are building something special here. I don't see any of the key guys leaving.

Mathis still has people who want him to transfer, i dont think he will tho due to how his minutes changed over these past 3-4 games. Make no mistake, montez barely getting minutes in the 2nd half for a decent stretch of big ten play wasnt something those close to him took lightly.
