Hopefully it's not people being influenced by Palm's thinking. That Maryland win should have us easily in the field right now. We were already in and stomped a top 10 conference leading team. How does that not move the needle?

CLICK BAIT - These guys know they have the most desperate Fanbase in the nation on their tippy toes.

Need a road win to secure or it’s off to Dayton.

We're not getting respect from some. Our profile is so much better than schools like Stanford, UCLA and NC State. We have more quality wins combined than they do as a group. It's weird, but it seems that because we're so good at home it's actually hurting us.

Wrong. Its the road record that is holding Rutgers back from a higher seeding.

I'll be fine with Dayton. Over the past few years people have gone out f their way to clarify the fact that those games are indeed part of the NCAA Tournament. They are NOT play in games.

lunardi just came out with his projection a minute ago and had us as the third ten seed and the 4th out of the last 9 teams in the tourney. I would love to be a 10 seed, but if we lose out, think we will be in the first 4

I'll keep saying it, we are not a play-in candidate, mid 30s NET P6 is not a play-in team. An at-large Utah St 38, N.Iowa 36 or East Tenn St 41, at large Texas 55 or at large UCLA 76 is. If we're in, it will be 9-11 seed

I get where that poster is coming from though -- you have Palm and some others at the beginning of the week saying that if you could only have one win, the road win against Purdue would complete the resume more than the home win against a top 10 Maryland team.

That's not fair, imho. That would mean we pretty much have to win the next 2. And if we win the next two, we will be pretty far from the bubble, imho.

BIG TEN BUBBLE WATCH
TOP 9: Maryland (NBC: 2), Michigan State (NBC: 5), Penn State (NBC: 5), Ohio State (NBC: 5), Iowa (NBC: 5), Michigan (NBC: 6), Wisconsin (NBC: 6), Illinois (NBC: 7), Indiana (NBC: 9)
RUTGERS (NET: 35, NBC: 11): Rutgers landed an enormous win on Tuesday night as they knocked off Maryland (15) at home. The Scarlet Knights are now 18-11 on the season. They are 17-1 at home and just 1-10 away from the RAC, which is problematic. Rutgers does have four Quad 1 wins — they’ve beaten both Seton Hall (12) and Maryland (15) in their building — and they are 8-10 against the top two Quads, but a neutral site loss to St. Bonaventure (116) doesn’t help matters. I think Rutgers still needs to win at least one more game to really feel good about themselves.

PURDUE (NET: 34, NBC: Off the bubble): After the Boilermakers snapped a four-game losing streak with a win over Indiana (54) at home on Saturday, Purdue went into Iowa City and knocked off Iowa (29), adding their fifth Quad 1 win of the season. Purdue is 9-13 against the top two Quads, and they have also lost to Nebraska (189) on the road, a Quad 3 loss. They still have some work to do, like beating Rutgers (34) at home on Saturday and, in all likelihood, having to win a game or two in the Big Ten tournament. But losing this game would have meant that Purdue was going to have to get the automatic bid to get in. So they’re still alive.

Hopefully will move to 9 Q1-2 wins if SFA holds serve for the auto bid. They’d need to move up 5 spots.
