Vitale wishes he was still here or at the least got the BB job after Dick Lloyd. Vitale is a Jersey guy thru and thru regardless what some folks may think. And of course is a big Jimmy V booster. Looking at things objectivelly but just what has he much less us have to crow about Rutgers basketball over the past few decades. Pikiel has put life back into the program. And Greg will do the same stsrting with this coming fall season.

Yup. Not sure how much it means in the end, but I'd rather be on the right side of the pundits on this one. Not going to hold a grudge over one vote for a mid-season poll. Frankly, I don't think we should even bother ranking teams before Feb.1, but I know that's not going to happen.
So far it seems like Jerry Palm is out there on his own with regard to our chances.

Agree. And Dickie V wants RU to get to the dance. It gives him the opportunity to talk about his days coaching at RU.
Dickie V built Rutgers basketball. He gets to take a bow on TV when we make the tourney. Of course he is now on the RU bandwagon.
