Was a 2 point game. Stop and score. Didn’t stop. Illinois wins
OK. Just watched the replay. On tv they weren’t showing the shot clock so I didn’t realize IL had to shoot with 16 seconds left in the game.

Generally speaking this bums me out. I prefer teams to hold serve. It makes our inability to win on the road look more normal. I assume we’re they’re next home game too. I’d prefer we weren’t their next home game after a loss. Doesn’t matter they’re all tough. Gotta take them one at a time however they come

Yeah, the coaches initially considered fouling if the shot was not with them. When they realized ILL couldn't run out the clock, they went for straight up D. Problem was they should've been prepared to double Ayo to get the ball out of his hands. They also figured ILL was going to run clock but Ayo initiated his move earlier than expected.

peeps dont understand that Penn State continuing to win makes RU's win over them almost a super win if they can get into the top15. Not sure lllinois will get into the top 30 but this will help

Purdue losing means one less tourney team that RU has beaten..we already lost Minnesota. Not a big fan of this result. Our wins over Purdue and Minny are being diminished

You are beginning to become a bit overbearing with the expert opinion thing.

you can either listen to me or not, I am telling you metric wise...the thread is discussing who we want to root for. If you want to present your argument present but do not get salty with me because you disagree with my argument, come up with counter argument instead of a personal attack

the absurdity of not wanting to root for Penn State or Seton Hall because of who they are is laughable. We want our wins to look as good as possible Wisky is making the tourney either way. Purdue is out of the field for now with the loss

Right but as you pointed out earlier if we beat PSU we’re in anyway. This makes the Illinois win better at least and if we beat PSU great, if not they should finish pretty high anyway and we beat them earlier this year. Plus we got to root against PSU. It’s all jumbled at this point.

don't think of that post as a disagreement.. its a style comment, not a content comment... think of it like a friend telling you your have bad breath.. I've read a bunch of your posts recently regarding basketball and the NCAAs and so on and your expert opinion has come on as a bit too overbearing.. as you say "you can either listen to me or not".. and don't make me go through your posts to prove it..

Or possibly 2 quad 1 wins if we find a way to beat them in Madison. I think we match up better against them than any other road team so I’m putting my eggs in that basket.

On the road they're quad 1 no matter what.

which is also part of why I hate this system. WHEN you play a team and how they were playing at the time becomes (or can become) meaningless because they go into a slump. There are too many variables unless you can bring some "consideation" into it.
Another example. Illinios losing at the crazy a$$ RAC going across county counts the same as an Big coast team traveling 100 miles to an away gamein front of 4000 fans. (and I don't have a specific example..just a thought)
give me 80% metric model and 20% human interpretation.

What's more likely... PSU top 15 or Illinois top 30?

Ayo is a bad man.

Hard to believe he played. Then he scores 24.

Maybe Rutgers and Illinois will meet in the BTT in rubber game with both teams at full strength.

Oh look board police....hey here is some advice..go find a safe space if you are overburdened by me.

You are the same poster who had to post a tutorial chart on paragraphs after my game recap. Who does that? Guess what? There is an ignore button..i recommend you use it

On both cases you could use the help. But as you say, "either listen to me or not".

We played them without Geo and lost by 3.
It's about 100 times easier for us to play without Geo than it is for illinois to play without dosunmu. We have one of the deepest benches in the big ten and our scoring is much more spread out. At illinois, everything goes through dosunmu.
