If Rutgers gets placed in Greensboro, I'm looking to buy a ticket. Any tips should this come to pass? Not a season ticket holder, I live in South Carolina.

Call Rutgers ticket office and place order if we are selected

If RU plays in Greensboro I’ll be there as well, driving from Wilmington, NC.....Let’s hope!

I am sure Rutgers athletics will send something out soon to ticket holders

Perhaps you're not familiar with his form of jackassery from the football board. So not lucky to have his trolling now leach into this board.
I was asking for some information from people much more knowledgeable than I am. I am hoping upon hope that we get placed there so I can be there, and don't want to be left out. Not being a jackass here, thank you very much.

Someone read the NJT.com article about no team getting in without at least three wins away from home.

That was a correlation not a causation article. People clearly get confused about the difference

I was referring to BlockR.....your question and OP was quite appropriate.....albeit, a bit early. Still plenty of time for tourney tix.

They'll be swamped the moment our name gets called. I am imagining in order to sit in the Rutgers section, you need priority points.
It will be priority point based and there is a very limited supply from RU. Many season ticket holders will be shut out.

I remember a friend of mine saying he had to buy East Region tickets a year in advance when they were at the Meadowlands, is that still the case? This was back in the days before getting them online was a popular option. I never really cared about seeing other teams play except Rutgers or Monmouth.

Use StubHub and hope Duke isn't in the same game block as Rutgers... 2 games per ticket.

There’s not another team in the nation I’m worried about. It’s been 29-years. If you don’t have season tickets plan to go through Ticketmaster. First and second round games are the easiest to get tickets to, by far, it won’t be a problem.

Unless RU is in Albany, it's hard to imagine more than a couple thousand Rutgers fans going.
I actually think 2,000 would be an amazing turnout in Cleveland or Greensboro. It might be a bit overly optimistic. Maybe Tampa could get that many because of all the RU alums in Florida.

St. Louis or Omaha are only driveable if you're really ambitious and have a lot of time so the numbers would be a lot less since we're talking about expensive, last minute airfares. If we're in Spokane or Sacramento, we're probably talking only a few hundred heart souls.

Just a personal preference but from best to worst for RU fans, I'd go.
1. Albany
2 Cleveland
3. Greensboro
4. Tampa
5. St. Louis.
6. Omaha
7. Sacramento
8. Spokane

I think we’d take a lot more to Cleveland and North Carolina than most would expect. Plenty of alumni in North Carolina and Cleveland isn’t exactly a bad ride at all. Have you seen the RAC crowds?? We’ll likely double our allotment to either place IMHO.Tampa, as you noted, we would do just as well due to the number of alumni in Florida and Albany forget about it! The other 4 destinations would just be cruel and unusual punishment if he asked me ha ha Ha!

4000 for a crappy location and 6K+ for Albany or Greensboro, which are drive-able. I think people greatly underestimate the pent-up demand from the RU fanbase.
No doubt people are excited, but 4K to Omaha, Spokane or Sacramento? That’s absurdly optimistic. Airfare will be crazy expensive to those places on such short notice.
