I’m on the west coast so I haven’t been able to attend any conference games this year, but has our fan base figured this out yet?

In the early 2000s I remember the RAC used to get to another level because the 100s sections used to stomp their feet.

Have our new fans in those sections figured out they can do that?

Yes, absolutely correct!!! It makes 10 times the noise! Pass this onto the marketing people or even Hobbs or Pike!
I mentioned this during last years games but it didn’t get any attention. They should put a small sign on each seat “ Stomp your feet”. I really hope this happens! It did bring it to another noise level.

Don't need it. It has been plenty loud this year.

Best of Luck,
Groz
May not need it but anything that adds to the epic volume level is both cool and intimidating. Plus, I love the comments we get from the announcers so if it can be taken up a notch, all the better!

I mean I don’t need a million dollars, but it sure would be nice...

If you received a million dollars all of your leech friends and friends you never knew you had would be coming out of the woodwork to borrow/steal your money. Too many headaches to come.....

Best of Luck,
Groz

No, don’t need it but if you heard it first hand - you’d want it!

My friend RUT - Heard you came into a million dollars. I have an investment opportunity you might be interested in.

I’m glad you brought that up. I’m in 103 and trying to get this going. Most of the old farts around me don’t do it. BTW...I’m an old fart but I do it.

it’s easier to do when sitting and we’ve been standing quite a bit so there’s that too.

When I was in the pep band during that time we were told to stop. Unfortunately we kind of dented a few of the metal seats. Maybe they’ll bring it back. Should have reinforced seats for band anyway.

Long time ago when my girls were young we had a guy sitting by us for the women’s games we nicknamed thumper. He used a cane and would pound it on the floor when things got going

When were you in the pep band? I was in from ‘85-‘90...

Back then we stomped early and often and it probably wouldn’t have mattered what Korzun or Madden said because NOTHING would’ve stopped us!

We were rowdy. We were obnoxious. We were brutal.

We were the Rutgers Pep Band! Feel the wrath!!! LOL!

I’m one of the few that stomp the bleachers in 114 but it has yet to catch on. It definitely does increase the volume of noise at the RAC when everyone does it.

I laugh at all these dba readings on twitter because I know it can get significantly louder.

I’ll never forget the noise in the RAC when Jimmy Inglis hit the bank 3 vs Nova to go to OT. You legit couldn’t hear the person next to you.

The RAC is really back this year. But the best thing about the RAC is that the cheering is not programmed. Just passion - Cant duplicate that. Just watch a PSU game and you will know what I am talking about - They always wear the same shirts, do the same cheers and clap in unison. No where near the energy you get at RU.
