They showed a graphic with the B1G teams most likely to make the tournament with the percentage of it happening. They showed about 10 teams. No sign of Rutgers.

I just saw this graphic. It listed the B1G teams percentage of probability to make the NCAA per BPI. Whatever that is. It listed the top 10 teams then showed Rutgers at 64% and Indiana at 60% for teams 11 and 12.

It wasn't biased or anything just their formula. I'm sure the only reason we are so low on the formula is the lack of road success. Who cares.

Well it's why we have to bust through the door and leave little to no doubt. As much as we love this place, the name on the front of our Jersey is the cause for such disrespect.

Two more wins.

Rutgers will likely have some games on ESPN channels next season so you’ll have to get over it.

I see where BPI (Basketball Power Index) takes into account a "preseason" ranking of the teams.

As the season progresses, the preseason ranking becomes less prevalent ... but never goes away completely.

Preseason BPI considers such things as team records from prior years and recruiting class rankings. Which would explain why Rutgers isn't rated higher.

So, in other words, the BPI ranking should be called the BS ranking since that makes no sense. It's fugazi.

They look stupid. I don’t take it as disrespect. People outside of the BIG know about RU this year. I get calls and texts all of the time.

They're projecting Minnesota to win their next 3 and Purdue their next 2 out of 3. Not justifying it, but I can't see Minnesota or Purdue making the field unless they both win 5 or 6 out of their last 6 plus 1 & 1 in Indianapolis.

That was a good find. There logic takes into account past recruiting rankings and coach record. Neither of those apply to is this year. So we are probably messing with their formula this year. Keep it up and it will correct itself in the coming years.

I'm feeling good about Michigan, we were robbed last time and Coach has made some good adjustments since then. We beat Michigan we are a lock.

RU has to win one road game to make the tournament. If not, we will be on the bubble. They are not going to put us in the tournament if they know that we will be a definitely gone in the first round.

Win one more road game to leave no doubt.

Disagree strongly on Purdue. They're still 32 in NET and if they go 3-2 (only 5 left), they're 17-14/10-10 and likely under 30 in NET and should be in.

Why do you care ? I am in South Carolina. The true hoops fans here know about what's going on at the RAC. I care about the fans. Not the FAN.

Do you realize how foolish that sounds? Half the field will “definitely” be “gone in the first round.”

I’m assuming you spoke with a committee member to glean these pearls of wisdom.

ESPN has been utter garbage for years. I'm glad Fox created an alternative to it back in 2013. They've only gotten better over the years as ESPN sinks. BPI is one of the worst computer models for college basketball rankings. It's always going to favor Duke, UNC and other Blue Bloods ESPN supports, because of their top recruiting classes buying 5 * players every year. BPI #4 Baylor(14-1 vs Q1/2 and a 12 pt win over "#2 Kansas") is the best team in basketball but because of their recruiting rankings 81, 36 and 126 or record last 3 years is a joke. At least #2 Kansas is 16-3 vs Q1/2. Duke being #1 is a bigger joke(10-2 vs Q1/2). Michigan St at #5 is laughable. Purdue at 14-12 at #14.

Vermont this year is #80 NET but because they were 29-6, 27-8, 27-7 last 3 years, they are ranked #45 BPI. What world does that make sense? Why should last year's anything help this year's team. So if you went 5-25 last 2 years, then magic hit went 25-5 why should last 2 years hurt what you're doing this year and by how much.

Maybe we are so low on their list because, of the remaining games, how many are we likely to win? Let's hope that Michigan is a win. After that, where do we find another win? Probably not on the road. That leaves Maryland at the RAC. I think that is our best shot.

If we win 2 more before the B10 tournament, we will get in. If not, we need to win a game in the tournament.

I truly believe if we play like yesterday, we can beat both Wisky and Purdue on the road, especially Wisconsin - as I said yesterday, I think we're going to win at WI, as I think we match up well with them.

BTN rocks. ESPN has Stephen A. Smith. Nuff said.
