A win here gets us much closer to a tourney bid.

If we shoot well we play well. Fingers crossed.

RU 63-59.

On the road is always tough, but OSU has lost 6 games to 4 teams we have beaten this year, so I’m thinking it’ll be a favorable matchup for us.

In order to win:

1. Start Geo
2. Keep Myles out of foul trouble
3.Get Caleb Wesson into foul trouble. Go right at him and make him foul you.
4. Someone other than Geo needs to step up.
5. Keep Ryan Young neutralized

It's a winnable game.

71-63 tOSU. Bad matchup for us
For someone who uses stats and percentages a lot I would like to know why this is a bad match up. Fact that, as one poster said, OS has lost to 4 teams we have beaten and 2 of those teams won twice should come into play from a statistical analysis as to why or why we should win or lose. Also is positive mental note for team knowing we beat teams who beat them
If anything this is a close game and maybe home court give them slight advantage.

Rutgers has yet to show me the consistent scoring to win on the road.

this game scares me

really want RU to win but worry about playing a decent team on the road. A team that was top 5 earlier this year...

Ohio State is the best 3pt shooting team in the conference - 37.9%
Rutgers is the worst 3pt shooting team in the conference - 29.5%

Our failures on the road have been in the last 2 minutes of games. If Geo is out of his slump I think we’re all much more confident about our chances in the end game.

Minus the 1st half against Purdue and Geo’s barrage on Sunday, I do not like the way we have been playing lately. Our only road win is vs. Nebraska and I’m glad we played that earlier in the season. OSU is almost in a must-win scenario.

Surprised so many picking RU to win.

We've been close in so many road games. I think the overriding sentiment is that we are overdue for one of these to break our way.

As a standalone event, we are clearly the underdog. But no question this is an opportunity to give a big boost to our resume. It would also give us some breathing room to not have to win all 3 remaining games at the RAC.

In summary, big upside to this game but a loss doesn't derail the train.

Given the way we have played lately the sky should be falling. If Geo was average on Sunday 80% of people would be picking OSU by double digits.

Having said all that........I feel a victory too, which mildly scares me.

OSU is a good 3 point shooting team and we struggle against guarding bigs who can shoot. That's likely why kyk says bad matchup. The injuries help us though
